We are proud to share that Dr. Michael Akuupa, Executive Director of the Labour resource and Research Institute (LaRRI), Namibia, is participating in the Regional Workshop on Strengthening the Technical Capacities of Trade Unions to Lobby and Advocate for Labour Provisions in International Trade and Investments.
During this important event in Entebbe, Uganda (19-21 August 2025), Dr. Akuupa is actively involved in key activities, including:
✅ Moderating the Group Workon comparative analysis and strategic recommendations to strengthen labour rights in trade agreements.
✅ Presenting and participating in the discussions on Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) and their implications on labour rights: Case study of Namibia.
✅ Engaging in group discussions on trade union policies and responses to labour rights violations in export processing zones.
