Not a Bot. Vaccines cause Autism and freedom is better than safety. Atheists on X are 20 years too late with their memes. Smile, you look better when you do.
Dear South Africa ! Best we wake up and wake up soon ! There is a wave of press being given to the “legal opinion” that parents who don’t vaccinate their children could be sued ! When you read the actual opinion piece the agenda becomes clear - it’s pushing the WHO’s #OneHealth
South Africans 🇿🇦 are taxed between 18% on the lowest bracket up to 45% at the top!!
Anything to show for it in our communities??@sarstax
Entlek why are we being taxed so much...

🚨And that is only personal income tax. Now add the VAT you pay and the substantial tax component included in fuel prices. Then you still have to pay for private healthcare because public healthcare is dysfunctional, and private security for those living in security estates because crime is out of control.
I wonder what the true effective tax burden really is‼️
The South African middle class gets punished for being productive. Earn a little more and SARS takes a bigger slice, yet you're still expected to fund your own medical aid, security, schooling and transport. Taxation without corresponding services is not fairness.

@GarethCliff I do not use True Caller or any of those Apps, but I have a blocked contact that I add the spam calls to. After about 5 years of adding numbers to that blocked contact, I can say that almost have a level of peace.
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL So it is very easy to separate the 2, especially when you compare what is written to what the tradition teaches.
This was one of the things Jesus taught against, the traditions of Man that were contrary to the Torah and prophets.
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL Again we will disagree here. Tradition did not bring forth the Torah and Prophets. The Torah was given by God to Moses and this is clear. Prophets were appointed by God, not man and spoke God's word. Jesus was sent by God.
Tradition is therefor derived from these.
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL It is easy, the "traditions" or teaching of Pauls and teh Apostles were clearly written down, in what we call the NewTestament. The Church fathers are contrary to to this and this is why they gate keep the New Testament by saying you need tradition to intreptret the new testament
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL So if the Jewish people were cut off for unbelief, but you claim the Church was grafted in for belief, then how can you make the claim that he Church is a continuation of Jewish Traditions. (After all, the traditions of teh Jews resulted in unbelief, ergo, tradition = unbelief
@DangerzoneLZ P2/2
Does the Church have regular meetings on the 7th day Sabbath where the Word of God is read out a loud.
Does the Church hold to the 4th Command or do they add to take away from it as per the link you sent me.
It is a simple Yes or no answer.
This critique of yours contains several historical, theological, and logical errors regarding how both the Orthodox Church and Judaism view Scripture and tradition.
Misunderstanding of Orthodox Theology
Straw man argument: The Orthodox Church does not place tradition over Scripture, nor does it replace faith with traditions.
Single source view: Orthodoxy views Holy Tradition as a single river of faith, and the Bible is the supreme, inspired written core within that tradition.
No competition: Scripture and Tradition are not seen as competing rivals, but as the same truth expressed in different forms.
Flawed View of Jewish Tradition
Scripture is Tradition: you're critique correctly notes Scripture emerged from tradition, but misses how Judaism actually treats oral tradition.
Equal authority: Orthodox Judaism views the Oral Torah (Talmud/Mishnah) as divinely given and fully authoritative, not just as something "nice to preserve."
Interpretive lens: In Judaism, you cannot properly understand or practice the written Scripture without the oral tradition.
Internal Logical Contradiction
Double standard: your argument praises Jews for maintaining oral traditions, but critiques the Orthodox Church for doing the exact same thing.
Inconsistent logic: you're argumentation claims we must not "place tradition over scriptures," but then validates the preservation of extra-biblical oral streams.
Respectfully may i suggest that you do more research to better understand different worldviews before you try to make a "gotch" argument using logical fallacies, it doesnt help you're case.
So far what I see what happens here when you do this, is making an ignorant display of how tradition is viewed and treated.
And making competition where it doesnt belong historically, making several contradictions to undermine authoritative teachings handed down via tradition
Respectfully may I suggest you attend liturgy and ask the priest to get the best clarification for any of your questions or thoughts you have about Orthodox theology, practices and teachings.

May Christ humble us all

Very simple, to ascertain. Does the Orthodox Church permit you to work on the 7th day Shabbat?
Does the Orthodox Church permit you to have others to work for you on Sabbath?
Can you go to the shops on a Sabbath?
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL And this is where we fundamentally disagree.
Scripture = Torah and Prophets
Tradition = Man made ethics and customs that change from generation to generation.
Therefore
Scripture <> Tradition.
Tradition can be based on Scripture, but Scripture can never be based on Tradition
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL So if the Church Tradition is a continuation of Jewish Tradition, why did Jesus rebuke the Jews for putting the tradition over the Laws of God?
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL How can it be a continuation of the Jewish Faith if they are so remarkably different?
Or are you saying that the Jewish Tradition was a good thing, and that the Church is carrying over the tradition of Jews, just updated because Jesus?
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL I am not sure if I understand your point here? Is it that the Tradition of Jewish Orthodoxy is actually being carried through the Tradition of the Orthodox Church because the Church is the Spiritual Israel?
@DangerzoneLZ@DeuceBigalowEO@JayDyer@GodLogic_GL To respond to this point, I am not praising Jews for preserving tradition, I am trying to highlight the similarities between Orthodox Jews and Orthodox Church, Both view tradition the same way.
