Puhar Lab

We study infection and inflammation in the gut with focus on the endogenous danger signal extracellular ATP.

[Puhar Lab @LabPuhar]

Our new paper is out! We show that mechanical detection of bacterial entry by a mechanosensitive plasma membrane channel triggers ATP secretion and immune gene expression. Thus, physical signals can initiate the immune response to infection 🧵 https://t.co/jRoBPRpK8v @CellReports
