To some brothers of mine who are not bothered by what is going on in our local governments and cities, this is a โpit latrineโ with out a pit that cost taxpayers UGX 73 million. Is this the Uganda we want? This is unacceptable.
My brother Simon and others on x , this is exactly why the #ExposeTheCorrupt campaign must continue. No one will stop this train. There are still a few hours and days left for repentance.
When you steal public funds, you will be exposed publicly. If you hate humiliation, donโt tamper with or misuse public resources. Every shilling belongs to the people and must be used for its intended purpose. Let us improve our public infrastructure, strengthen service delivery, and restore accountability in local government.
I sincerely thank the DISOs of Mbale and Bulambuli, the CID officers, the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the DPC Mbale, RPC Twalla, the DPC Bulambuli, the outgoing Deputy RDC of Bulambuli, the RDC of Mbale District, and all patriotic Ugandans led by our General Secretary, Hon. Twalla Fadhil, together with all the Area Members of Parliament for Mbale and Bulambuli, who have supported the #ExposeTheCorrupt campaign so far.
I also appeal to all staff in the Office of the President, ISO, Crime Intelligence officers, RDCs, and every patriotic Ugandan to join and support the #ExposeTheCorrupt movement. Together, let us protect taxpayersโ money, improve public infrastructure, and deliver the quality services our people deserve.
"The image displayed by General MK to Ugandans is a fake one. He's much more wiser and intelligent than most people think and his critics had better start treating him with the respect and seriousness he deserves." Former NTV news anchor @kyamageroandrew on the CDF Gen @mkainerugaba
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu, greetings.

After consultations with the national epidemic response task force and religious leaders, we have decided to postpone the Martyrs' Day to a later date, which will be communicated.
ย
This decision was made because Uganda receives thousands of pilgrims annually from Eastern Congo, which is currently experiencing an Ebola outbreak. To safeguard everyone's lives, it is essential that this important event be postponed.
ย
I encourage those who had begun their journey to return home, continue observing the precautionary measures, report anyone who is sick, and encourage those who are ill to seek medical care.
ย
We regret any inconvenience caused, but the protection of life must come first.
ย
Signed:
Yoweri K. Museveni
