"Researchers analyzing Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night show that its swirling structures have turbulent properties matching those observed in the molecular clouds that give birth to stars."
And now we have this fusion! Can't get over how beautiful this is. ❤️
One week after the launch of the #GlobalJusticeReport, we've received a wide range of reactions. We're grateful for the many comments, critiques, and questions we've received so far, and we hope the discussions continue in the weeks ahead. We see the report as a contribution to a broader public debate.
Here are three common criticisms we'd like to address:
1) “The report proposes a radical de-growth agenda”
2) "The report uses an unrealistically pessimistic 4.5°C warming scenario."
3) "The report is a utopian dream."

Thank you @AshwiniVaishnaw for addressing issues regarding captcha & @IRCTCofficial website. The Railway Board followed up the next day to take inputs regarding prototypes of the proposed new website.
On a personal note - I hope to see this in every sphere of public life, especially with respect to burning issues like climate, unemployment, inequality etc. The model of democracy & social contract only survives this way, in letter & spirit!
Very proud to meet Shubham. He has qualified IPS. I feel happy to have mentored him as his economics optional coach. He has been my gs student too at Next IAS. Best part of him is his intellect and humility.
Humbled to meet my progenies. I am sure he will be a great officer
this is a significant stride for women in science, and now in space missions! ✨
so glad to learn that so many women played a pivotal role in designing and executing the project! #isrochandrayaan3mission#womeninSTEM
These are a few of the Very Extraordinary #women in their Seemingly Very Unassuming presence in @isro. We only saw one of the women yesterday during live telecast. Here are some of them who made this mission successful. #Chandrayaan3
Chandrayaan-3 Mission:
'India🇮🇳,
I reached my destination
and you too!'
: Chandrayaan-3
Chandrayaan-3 has successfully
soft-landed on the moon 🌖!.
Congratulations, India🇮🇳!

@shewantstea_ More power to you Seb! We will always be your biggest cheerleaders!
Some parents support their daughter to finish a PhD just so that they become Assistant Professor (secure govt. job), making them more marriage-able.
It's sad how everything for women is tied to marriage. 🥲
Today in @IndianExpress , I was reading reasearch by Udit Misra, and was quite surprised to see these figures. The trend is stark!
What could be the possible reasons for the youth getting driven out of the job market?!
The Supreme Court, while hearing the batch of petitions seeking legal recognition for #SameSexMarriage in India, orally discussed the ambit of gender and whether it expanded beyond the biological sex of a person.

"It's up to good people to speak up for those that are brutalized but don't have a voice.
This planet and our oceans are not a dumping ground or an all-you-can-eat buffet." - Paul De Gelder
"...with near-universal marriage, preferences of potential spouses/families may loom large for Indian women. If men systematically discriminate against employed women while choosing a life partner, this could contribute to women who might otherwise wish to work, choosing not to."
This is how deep patriarchy runs. There's still a big chunk of men who want women to be unemployed and stay unemployed after marriage. https://t.co/dtBlIarQqu
"If we argue that the South has a right to burn its fair share, we are undermining the fight against the climate crisis. But if we argue that the South has to bear the burden of adjustment to avert the climate crisis, we will be perpetuating injustice."
A hopeful read!
Usually the two schools of thought —De/Post-Growth and #greendeal Growth — are at loggerheads about how to fight climate change. @shouvik1979 and I argue we need to build on complementarities rather than differences — we need a socialist green growth. https://t.co/fwduWqKQGG
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny." - Martin Luther King.
International law must be revised.
"You can't say because Ukraine was invaded that suddenly sovereignty is important, but it was never important for Palestine. If you believe in international law, then wherever sovereignty is infringed, it must apply."
—South Africa's Foreign Minister
Further, leisure isn't as restorative as it was. Instead of qualitative breaks like reading, now screen time, adrenaline fuelled video games etc. have taken over. These trends are shown to result in anxiety and unhappiness.
