The Copeland CLP Executive Committee have resigned with immediate effect.

We leave our posts with 10 out of 12 Copeland seats on the Cumberland Council, a revitalised, member-led CLP, and healthy funds to fight the next election.

On 19th May 1923, members of the Rock and Fell Climbing Club bought land including 12 peaks between Wasdale and Borrowdale in tribute to those they lost in WWI, for roaming in perpetuity.

Labour councillors Mike Hawkins and Ray Gill used the pot hole fund to improve one of the worst examples of paving in their area, on Cumberland Road, successfully lobbying for it to be resurfaced. Well done boys 👏
