Interesting poem about the challenge and power of collaboration in teaching from Peter McFarlane:
Your Attention Please (1981)
Sorry to interrupt

The 2026 Winter Olympics figure skating ⛸️ free dance was scored by 9 judges
The French judge gave Beaudry & Cizeron 🇫🇷 a 137.45 but only gave Chock & Bates 🇺🇸 a 129.74

🟢The UK is 14th OECD country to become coal-free.
🟢OECD coal power falls to less than HALF of its peak in 2007.

b) whether students have valuable knowledge to build on or not.
This all gets easier if you get that.
The Economist: "China has become a scientific superpower"
Rare for me - maybe even unprecedented - to praise the Economist but this might be the seminal article on the current status of China's scientific might.

AI detection in school is a losing game.
AI detectors have high flaw positives & teacher intuition seems to work even worse: “Here we show in two experimental studies that novice and experienced teachers could not identify texts generated by ChatGPT among student-written texts.”
