Archives | In August 2025, the union petroleum secretary announced that retail pumps across India would supply only petrol blended with 20 percent ethanol. Ethanol-laced petrol has been red-flagged for damaging engine health, haemorrhaging fuel economy and inflating repair bills. In September, the Congress hosted a press conference spotlighting the conflict of interest in Nitin Gadkari “aggressively lobbying” for E20 petrol at a time when both his sons occupied leadership positions in companies supplying ethanol. The minister has responded by denouncing critics of the blended-ethanol policy as “anti-nationals.”

His promotion of ethanol-fuelled buses—he has also proposed raising the percentage of ethanol blended into automotive fuel—has raised questions of a conflict of interest. The Purti Group dramatically increased its ethanol production after he joined the cabinet.
In 2016, the conglomerate was amalgamated into an entity called Manas Agro Industries, which has received a Rs 1,034-crore loan from a consortium of cooperative and public-sector banks led by the state-run IDBI Bank. One of Gadkari’s sons is a director of the company, and the other a promoter.

लेकिन नितिन गडकरी ने E20 और E100 को पूरी तरह से लागू कर दिया है। इसके अलावा आपके
पास कोई ऑप्शन नहीं है।
जनता के लिए फिलहाल दोनों ऑप्शन होने चाहिए थें
इतनी बड़ी विपदा है। अपने ही जनता को कत्ल करने के जैसा है। लेकिन नितिन गडकरी के खिलाफ कोई कुछ नहीं बोल रहा है।
