@Michael88067311@AvidCommentator House prices are already being affected by the tax changes so, it seems so far at least, immigration isn’t the only factor.
The greens also have policy around tafe, uni, and apprenticeship affordability, which would, in the long term, reduce our reliance on immigration.
@Michael88067311@AvidCommentator I cited the greens policy on limiting political donations as a reason why I vote for them and you brought up Labor.
Their migration policy is needs based rather than a fixed cap. I wish it was tighter but I’m not a single issue voter and it’s far from a dealbreaker.
@Michael88067311@AvidCommentator Lucky for you, there also policies on housing and wage growth. Funding comes from closing tax loopholes and proper taxing of natural resources.
We’re talking about the greens, not Labor. Why did you bring them up?
@Michael88067311@AvidCommentator Policies of their I like include dental into Medicare, more funding for public education, addressing price gouging at supermarkets, and addressing political donations. Are they just “the feels” to you?
@Michael88067311@AvidCommentator I think it’s probably more to do with their policies. I can’t be sure but if you have policies that help people, people are more likely to vote for you.
@ellymelly Media isn’t “tearing down” one nation as much as they are doing their job and reporting on one nation. It just looks like tearing down because they aren’t giving uncritical praise.
I fear that within the West that words will no longer be mightier than the sword and taking up the sword may be the only way that our society can prevail.
