@they_luv3333@0Magnificent@AussieGayLib@AdamBandt The Greens didn't win anything. They have one fewer senate seats than they did last election. There was a swing against them in the national vote. They have lost at least 2, potentially 4, of their house seats.
There is no way to spin this election as a Greens win.
@WinturOW @Revert_IQ @factpostnews Trump inherited an *overvalued* stock market. A correction was bound to happen, regardless of who is president. Not to say Trump's trade war hasn't created some additional problems on top of the inevitable stock market correction (or recession, potentially)
@masterchefau Why is there so much negativity directed towards Pezza? He's been my favourite so far. Today was the first time I ever checked Master Chef Twitter, and I was disappointed to see how many people seem to genuinely hate him. Sad. He's such a positive person, and he's grown so much
@SebastianDaGae@dadgamer020@set_dw@TinDogPodcast There were always consistencies between Pertwee's outfits. It's a different comparison.
He always wore a velvet jacket with a frilly shirt.
There is little to no consistency between Gatwa's outfits. His outfits are nice, but there is no core elements to tie the outfits together
@Thatonetransfem@iEatFossils@tvukzone How many people do you think are waiting to binge it? Everybody I know who still watches the show is watching them weekly.
@DVDfever@camy__9344@tvukzone Yeah... People seem to ignore the fact that Doctor Who has a significantly higher budget, and unlike Doctor Who, Coronoation Street and Eastenders air multiple episodes a week. Those shows have 3 times the weekly viewers Doctor Who has
@myersaw01 @WhovianLife I'm aware, but those people who find him less appealing are in the vocal minority (hopefully). Many people I've talked to about the show like Ncuti as an actor, but are just turned off by the writing. Not even David Tennant fit in in the new episodes... it all feels... off...
@myersaw01 @WhovianLife Capaldi ratings drop can maybe be attributed to the fact he was less appealing to a the new audience who might have been fans of Matt Smith.
Since Gatwa is a fairly approachable actor in the same way Smith was it's safe to say quality is what has caused the ratings drop. imo
@notanumber66 @pheebs_18 @WhovianLife Apparently viewing figures mattered to everyone up until the moment the iPlayer figures for the new episodes came out...
@myersaw01 @WhovianLife The problem is that in this case it is the quality of the show affecting its ratings for many people. Doctor Who has had declining ratings due to a decline in quality for a while now. You can enjoy the show, but don't pretend like the show isn't as approachable as it once was.
@Vanessa82661507 @bbcdoctorwho The problem was the episode was paced so poorly that even though it would make sense within the story of the episode, it was still totally jarring.
In my opinion the song would have been fine if the rest of the episode built up to it properly, but that wasn't the case.
@goner98 Sort of. I'd say the 2005-2008 run of Doctor Who was almost perfect, and trying to replicate that by bringing back RTD and David Tennant was totally unnecessary. It's like making a sequel to a perfectly fine standalone film. What's the point? It just lets people down.
@YungSzyslak@bennyb082@AdamBandt Most suburban and urban areas have access to an Aldi, IGA, or numerous other local shops. It's up to the consumer to shop at those places.
Apparently people forget that within a capitalist society we are free to choose where we shop. We aren't powerless against supermarkets.
