We captured this video in Gya Village at one of our friends aunt home. This is a traditional way of making Chaang in Ladakh.
Ingredients are: Barley, water and local yeast (phabs). Whenever there is a occasion, Chaang are always made to make that occasion more prosperous.
Ladakh Brew is a start-up focuses on manufacturing and selling Chaang (Local Beer of Ladakh) across the country with a vision to preserve age-old culture.
We aim at reviving this culture and pass this art to the younger generation to maintain our cultural identity.
1/ A new generation of entrepreneurs are putting India’s hinterlands on the world map. To support them, I am pledging an equity-free grant of INR 5 lakh each to four promising start-ups from Ladakh. I will also be actively supporting and mentoring them. @TheNaropa
