World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June and encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment.
This year’s campaign focuses on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience. “Our land. Our future. We are Generation Restoration.”
The speaker at our May meeting was Kate from Flotsam Flo. Kate shared the inspirational story of her life and the experiences that led her to setting up Flotsam Flo, where she turns broken wetsuits, banners and inflatables into unique and handmade items. #LadockWI#CFWI
Outgoing President, Sandra Buck, planted it, in honour of our 70th birthday (19th February 1954). Thanks go to Lynn Fincher for sourcing the heritage ‘Cornish Aromatic’ apple tree, Paul Butler for digging the hole and the Playing Field Committee for facilitating the planting.
