@goolammv Lol he is failing to control GP - what kind of leadership is this? If Lesufi cannot be reigned in then re-elect another Premier candidate. Be a decisive leader and start showing the accountability that you praise him of so well. 🚮
It was clear from the beginning that this is a grand coalition though 🤷🏾♂️ & not GNU!
How can it be a Government of National Unity if you need the “permission” of ANC & DA to join it? How can they have the power to determine who is part of the nation and who is not?
@DZumaSambudla But when are you going to be sworn in so you can actually take up the baton of being the official opposition? Legal battles can continue but you need to be IN parliament and legislature to effect real change. The votes the party got are being taken for granted
What a biased and racialliy charged news article. The media should report the facts and not sway the reader to an opinion! Let's talk about qualifications for all political heads! Winde Steenhuisen top positions in government and political parties and yet...
The fact that Johannesburg Mayor Kabelo Gwamanda has only a Grade 10 qualification should rightly send alarm bells ringing for residents, especially as he is expected to handle a R70 billion budget after only serving three years as a councillor.

The meeting between USA Ambassador to South Africa @ReubenBrigety and @DIRCO_ZA
took place this afternoon. We conveyed our displeasure with his conduct and he admitted that he crossed the line and apologised unreservedly. The relations between the USA & South Africa are cordial, strong and mutually beneficial. We reaffirmed our commitment to continue to work together for the benefit of the people of the two countries. There's a commitment to use established diplomatic channels to raise whatever issue may arise in the management of the bilateral relations between the two countries. Minister Naledi Pandor also spoke to her counterpart, Secretary @SecBlinken. As previously stated, the National Conventional Arms Control Committee has not approved any sale of arms to Russia related to the period and incident in question. The inquiry initiated by HE President Cyril Ramaphosa will be a platform to establish facts and role players in the incident in question. Anyone found to have broken the law will face consequences.

So, let's fill in some gaps & close this matter. @USAmbRSA & us are keen to move on. The relations between our two countries are strategic and far too important.
1. In our meeting we reminded Ambassador Brigety that government's National Conventional Arms Control Committee is on record saying they've not approved any sale of arms to Russia, related to the period or incident in question. Therefore, any assertion that "South Africa (Government) sold arms or is arming Russia" is factually incorrect.
2. We invited him to produce any evidence that he relied on for the public pronouncements. None has been submitted yet. The inquiry will be another platform to receive such.
2. Established diplomatic protocols and channels were not observed.
3. Having raised all these and other matters, @USAmbRSA apologised unreservedly. In his tweet, he used language that appears to have left some wondering about the "apology". I have informed his office (diplomatic courtesy) that I'd tweet & tag him (as confirmation).
4. @USAmbRSA's apology is on record and NOT in dispute.
5. We reaffirmed the commitment to contiue working to enhance the existing cordial, strong and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
@News24 That time US is not a signatory of the ICC and yet here they are... wow when they were in Iraq and Afghanistan wreaking havoc they had every excuse! This is NOT diplomacy!
@Newzroom405@ZiyandaNgcobo I hope a summoning has been issued with a very concise note verbal. The US is trying to shift focus of the good work being done with BRICS and the increasing requests from other states to join
