The biggest stage in sports. The same commitment to our fans!
As the 🌎 prepares to come to Atlanta for World Cup, Mercedes-Benz Stadium remains committed to the fans who make every event special.
@MBStadium I have my tickets for June 21 and can’t wait! Love this stadium. I’m craving a hot pretzel. 😀 Really appreciate Arthur Blank committing to a great home for ATL soccer from the start and now avoiding price gouging on concessions during the WC. It’s rare and deserves props. 👏
@corrupt_touch@klhull143 Now youre just making shit up. There was no indication they don’t like this person. They said wanted to learn what fanfic was since the employee kept mentioning it. You obvi want to dislike this inquirer, are gonna find any reason to do so, and so now I’m bored with you bye✌️
@corrupt_touch@klhull143 People are gonna be ignorant of things no matter where you work. Humans are messy. I’m defending someone asking for advice. I’d rather that than someone NOT ask for advice.
@corrupt_touch@klhull143 But you only know it’s not an issue bc you are familiar with fanfic. To this person, they are worried it’s the same as allowing “OnlyFans” to be in someone’s work bio. Those are v different things, but this person doesn’t know that. They just know both can be sexually explicit.
@klhull143@corrupt_touch This person is learning for the first time that a lot of fanfic is sexually explicit. To them, this is similar to someone saying or putting in their work bio “OnlyFans”. The word porn is never used, but those who are familiar with OF know what much of that content is.
@corrupt_touch@klhull143 Maybe! But it’s still unnecessarily harsh to scour someone for seeking advice. Maybe you - someone experienced in fandom - would prefer they automatically know what to. But they didn’t, so they asked for help. That’s exactly what we should want them to do.
@corrupt_touch@klhull143 They were considering just that. The headline is sensational but the email is measured. They are asking should I go to HR or talk to the employee? Would the latter be intrusive? They are obviously just unfamiliar with this situation and scared of making a wrong move.
@corrupt_touch@klhull143 It wasn’t to “rat them out”. This person was concerned they had inadvertently allowed their direct subordinate to discuss something inappropriate at work. Was that based on ignorance and false assumptions? Yes! And the columnist said so. But it was not malicious intent.
@klhull143@corrupt_touch And if I told ppl “I write a movie review blog” I wouldn’t consider it privacy invasion if folks went looking. I’m not saying DoN’t SaY yOu WrItE fAnFiC. But yours is a straw man argument. If keeping their fanfic writing private was so important, they can choose not to tell ppl.
@klhull143@corrupt_touch Wdym let them have their privacy? The *employee* didn’t keep it private. They shared it on their work profile, at team mtgs, etc. Any reasonable person could expect others to get curious.
If you want to keep someone private, DON’T TELL PEOPLE ABOUT IT. Easy as that.
@hudconoisseur But this show needs these special guests to bring dynamism bc the scripts and regulars are so bland. Connor is doing what he was hired to do, but it doesn’t play to his strengths imo. That said, I didn’t like the HR gym sneak preview either and was wrong, so let’s see. 😀 2/2
@hudconoisseur 100%. Writing & direction are both a problem here. Connor is a v expressive actor, better serviced by a more nuanced characterization in the script and a director who will ask for downplay and subtly. Here, Connor is externalizing every thought and feeling. 1/2
Hudson Williams on Wonderland is my favorite mag cover so far. Still remember the day when i woke up and opened the app, photos and videos and the very article kept me excited all day.
