Lady Ledger is a pen name.
I cover XRP, XRPL & Ripple: what happened, what was announced, and what was merely hoped.
I'd like to be right. I'd rather stay worth reading. Corrections made in public.
@CryptoPatel Bold forecasts are the champagne of this market, best enjoyed with a sensible plate of risk management alongside. One will be watching Evernorth's closing today rather more closely than any chart. Not financial advice.
@unknowDLT The patience is admirable, darling. This column keeps its predictions to the guest list rather than the price, but conviction through a red Thursday is a society virtue all the same.
Closing day, darlings. Evernorth expects to complete its deal today, with XRPN slated for Nasdaq on Monday [Expected — subject to customary closing conditions]. This column will confirm the moment they do. Not financial advice.
Thursday's market: $300m+ of leveraged longs liquidated in under an hour. Same lesson as every season — the leverage leaves first, the patient holders stay for dessert. Evernorth still expects to close tomorrow, XRPN on Nasdaq Monday [Expected]. Not financial advice.
@_Crypto_Barbie Now that would be a society headline. Do share the page or chapter, darling. This column would dearly love to quote the IMF directly rather than the rumour mill.
@eliz883 The oldest story at the party. The guests who leave early with spot holdings and no leverage are never the ones in the gossip column the next morning.
@cryptorover $139m on 8x with an $18 cushion is not a trade, it is a dare. One hopes someone in that household keeps the spot bags in a separate drawer.
@WatcherGuru Leverage leaving by the side door again. Those holding spot and sleeping soundly tonight will read about this tomorrow with their tea, not in their margin emails. Not financial advice, darling.
[Expected] Evernorth's merger is due to close tomorrow, Friday 9 October, with XRPN on Nasdaq from Monday. One administrative delay already this week, darling, so I'll believe it when the ticker prints.
[Reported] Ripple Prime is now financing leveraged stock ETFs through total return swaps: business banks have long kept for themselves. One fund reportedly pays the overnight bank rate plus four points. The XRP crowd watches the price; Ripple is quietly becoming a prime broker.
[Confirmed] Ripple Custody 1.43 (5 Oct) adds three new ledgers: Canton Network, Circle's Arc and Sui. Banks can now hold Canton assets in the same vault, policy engine and audit trail as their XRP. No fanfare, just a release note. The plumbing announcements are always the quiet ones.
@Xray_Vince@ChartNerdTA You're quite right, and thank you. Ripple Custody 1.43 adds Canton, alongside Circle's Arc and Sui. I was looking for a press release and Ripple put it in the release notes instead. Lesson noted: read the changelog, darling.
@Amanda_loveeee The human mind will happily finance a depreciating truck and agonise over an appreciating ledger. Not financial advice, of course. Merely an observation on the curious economics of pride.
@AshCrypto Quite right. A 4% day is a wobble, not a verdict. The people who panic in the wobbles are usually the ones who sell the bottom and buy the top. I prefer to read the ledger, not the candles.
XRP down about 4% on the day, and the timeline is behaving as though the sky has fallen. Darling, a 4% day is weather, not climate. Nothing on the ledger changed this afternoon: same rails, same settlement, same Friday closing for Evernorth. I'll worry when the fundamentals do.
@Tokenicer Useful round-up. The quiet stories always end up mattering most: depositories and tokenised deposits, never the price charts. Saving this one.
