I got a call from my daughter’s high school principal today. He said she’d been caught operating an “unauthorized commercial enterprise” out of the girls’ locker room. My stomach DROPPED. I left work immediately, already imagining the worst: Drugs. Vapes. Stolen stuff. Some TikTok side hustle gone wrong. By the time I got to the school, I was preparing myself for lawyers, suspension, maybe even police involvement. I walk into the principal’s office….…and my daughter is sitting there quietly with a spiral notebook full of spreadsheets. Not cash. Not customer lists. Spreadsheets. Turns out, she’d noticed some girls at school were quietly struggling: • no money for feminine hygiene products • no winter jackets • wearing the same clothes every week after budget cuts hit families hard So she started her own underground support network. She collected donated jackets, hygiene products, gloves, and clothes from wealthier neighborhoods.
Then she cataloged everything by size and need in her notebook like a tiny operations manager. And from her gym locker, she distributed items discreetly to students who needed them — no embarrassment, no announcements, no attention. The principal wasn’t calling because she was in trouble. He called because the school found out… and wanted my permission to turn her “illegal locker room business” into an official school charity program.
I thought I was driving to the biggest parenting nightmare of my life. Instead, I walked into one of the proudest moments I’ve ever had as a parent.
One day you will look back at this difficult season
The struggling.
The uncertainty.
The sleepless nights.
And realize it was building something in you
that comfort never could.
Hold on.
“Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employment: Addressing Youth Unemployment in Post-Graduate Nigeria”
I will save this here.
I need a podium first!
Being hated by fools is the price you pay for not being a fool.
Being hated by those who don't make progress is a price you pay for making one.
Being hated by baddies is a price you pay for being a good girl.
Everything comes with a price.
I have seen the evolution of WOMEN.
From when:
Very unserious with their lives - Understanding life - Serious and want something good - Understand it's not easy - Life is beyond their early drama.
Based on that, I find it fun looking at the unserious ones at the early age.
@TheDamiForeign You are mad!. This is the nonsense you guys know how to do well. When they kill your brother, come online to post such.
Everybody's selfishness in Nigeria is highly dangerous. Until it happens to you, before you understand the feeling.
AI is replacing white collar jobs faster than anyone predicted.
Accountants, Writers, Analysts, Customer service.
And Nigerian graduates are still fighting for the same entry level jobs that won't exist in the next 5 years.
1,000 ghost workers discovered at University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.
1,000 people collecting salaries. Not working.
While real doctors and nurses are underpaid and overworked.
The hospital is understaffed.
The payroll is overstaffed.
Only in Nigeria. 🇳🇬
23% of Nigerian youth are unemployed and actively looking for work.
But the real number is higher.
Because that statistic doesn't count the graduate selling data cards, perfume.
The lawyer hawking products on Instagram.
We don't call it unemployment anymore.
We call it hustle
Let's talks about what actually creates single mothers.
It's not bad luck, not fate.
It's men who pursue aggressively then disappear after intimacy.
It's women who confuse attention for commitment.
It's a generation that normalized "situationships" over structure👇
Me: I need to rest.
My Nigerian mother: Rest ke?😂
Was it rest that built this house?
Did your father rest?
Even God rested only once and you want to rest every day?
Nigerian parents didn't raise children. They raised anxiety. 😂
Security forces just busted a baby factory right here in Lagos.
18 pregnant women rescued.
Newborn babies allegedly sold for ₦1 million each.
Not in some remote village.
Not in the hinterlands.
In Badagry, Lagos - Nigeria’s commercial capital.

My blood pressure said goodbye.
My appetite packed its bags.
My sleep submitted a resignation letter.
Turned out she just wanted to know what to cook😂
