Slightly shy and awkward Welsh guy with a passion for folklore and faeries. Part time writer on faery lore and definitely very eccentric! π§ββοΈ
@dragonjester@saraphilipa @books0507 @GoldsboroBooks I literally feel you! The more I stare at the whirling the more I am sure I am either slightly hypnotised or going more insane π¬
@dragonjester @books0507 @GoldsboroBooks Me too! Fingers crossed we can soon. I mean surely as we have them in our baskets and are almost paying for them we should be able to... right? π₯Ίπ«
Happy Beltane everyone! As the night draws in beware. The veil between Faerie and our realm is weak. King Finvarra searches for a mortal woman tonight, to dance away all eternity...
Caution: Victims may be returned in 100 years & turn to dust π
BLOODY FAE Ancient fairies have dried out bodies that need fresh blood. This links #fairies to vengeful ancestors, to the dead. A highland legend claims you must bring water into the house at night so the fairies don't quench their thirst with your blood #WyrdWednesday π¨Froud
Today has been a bit of a tough day. The past seems to be swarming round me and suffocating me. Missing family, friends and loved ones. And feeling quite lonely. I will return to my challenge tomorrow I hope...
The craqueuhhe is one of the most bloodthirsty vampires in Europe. It is found only in the Lorraine region (France). The only way to stop this creature is to burn it. But make sure nothing remains. Any unburnt parts will continue to come back and attack.
@dstiddypop43 100% yes. The most gruelling thing of all is every time it picked it up... it ended up getting worse. Talk about a year slapping you in the face loads of times π
Girls stolen by #Faeries
Young mothers are 'taken' that they may give the breast to newly born children amongst the #Sidhe, young girls that they may themselves become mothers there.

After reading about Charles Darwin's interest in fairy rings, I am working on a tale in which, while studying them, he enters the realm of Faerie.

Love spending time in winter fields & hedgerows. Oak Moss (Evernia Prunastri) is a common epiphyte in these parts but still miraculous & a good indicator of clean air.
Used in perfumery since the C16th. Also used historically to dye wool & cloth; just have to steep it in urine!
