Aaron Judge just struck out for the fourth time in four at-bats in six innings.
He's only the third Yankee to strike out 4 times on opening day.
And yet...Yankees 7, Giants 0.
“It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, November 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped, and summer was gone.”
- A. Bartlett Giamatti (with a small change from October to November)
@Stillmanator Anyone who has an Internet connexion is able to watch a 3PM game nowadays. I don't think a Wolves-Burnley game would have much of an effect on your local 6th division club attendance
I was against the ghost runner rule when it was first introduced. After the absolute marathons we had in the playoffs, maybe it isn't such a bad thing for a Pirates-White Sox game in May on second thought.
Personne ne s'attendait à voir les Jays en séries cette année, encore moins en Série Mondiale. Ce circuit représente parfaitement les Blue Jays cette saison, this is exactly why we love baseball!
