Preventing or reducing the spread of waterborne diseases could be achieved by providing adequate quantities of clean drinking water, good personal and food hygiene, and a hygienic excreta evacuation space.
CHOLERA
#Cholera is one of the large groups of infections concerning the availability and good quality of water and proper efficient utilization of our #water resources. It is a waterborne disease resulting from water contamination by toxic agents and other water impurities
Major Symptoms of cholera include diarrhoea and dehydration, nausea, vomiting, and water-electrolyte imbalances.
Treatment of infected individuals with mild cholera symptoms should include the use of Oral or intravenous hydration salts (ORS) and antibiotics for ill patients.
Cholera is a bacterial disease caused by the Vibro cholerae bacteria capable of producing toxins in the small intestine. The toxin causes the body to secrete a significant amount of water, causing diarrhea and dehydration,a rapid loss of fluid, and salts (electrolytes) in the body
Do you know that millions of people die from diseases caused by poor water supply, sanitation, and hygiene every year?
