@roguecaliber Do you need help or tips, what kind of failure occured?
Im running weekly online games on Roll20 for nearly 10years now, maybe i can help.
Holy shit this is INCREDIBLE work from @ByDonkeys. And bonus points for projecting the entire thing on @Tesla headquarters, effectively turning @elonmusk’s building’s most visible exterior side into a cinema screen to broadcast the tale of his corruption and political malfeasance
The white-bordered reprints in MB2 are a pretty charming gimmick, but... Is there *any* card that looks _better_ with a white border than a black border?
@LeroyD20 additional some caves lead to the sanctum, which hoouse the spirit. (these changes are live for all groups)
Players can now turn magical materials in at the spirit forge, and as a thanks they get turned to artifacts with rememberance to the material.
2/2
@LeroyD20 the most recent effect was players reviving an old spirit of the forge by convincing Blacksmith npc of the former glory (this took irl 1,5 years)
Then the spirit reawakened, formed three new lava streams which will persist on the map, creating travel barriers and heated caves 1/2
I know some folks nowadays mock and frown upon the megaadungeon, but for me it is probably my favorite game play style.
One of the all time best came out back ‘77 by Judges Guild as JG23 “Tegel Manor”.
An amazing adventure with more levels of dungeon below the manor too!
#DnD
@roguecaliber a bad dungeon is 45 consecutive rnd table encounters with a boss and gold at the end.
a good dungeon is something your players want as their base afterwards because they loved it and its usefull!
@roguecaliber if a dungeon is a REAL megadungeon its one the best experiences in ttrpg. (more or less everything in ttrpg is a dungeon, but we don't tell that to the players)
a real dungeon is a place with a story, players can understand what rooms are for and how they are connected. 1/2
@texasmtg @golgariguy there are a lot of fogs with upsides, as a sole combat trick they might not make the cut, but a lot of them are fit for several situations.
@VoidsIncision@golgariguy yeah and that is the other side of the story. Tables differ and their definition of casual differs.
we have cycling decks with AngelSong
arachnogenesis,
blinding fog as budget intervention,
Galadrim ambush in the elven typal,
Master warcraft,
Riot control / Respite for lifegain,
@golgariguy yeah for sure, besides the fact that craterhoof does not kill alone.
You need a somewhat developed board to close a game, and this somewhat developed board gets more easily accepted/recognized as a threat.
@LadyFoxglove13 the perk that is to be replaced/enhanced regards any speed up/slow down spells, if a mage has the perk, their spells also influence initiative and the action economy, but i need some more ideas to take it up a notch without escalating to much :D
@LadyFoxglove13 im trying to figure out better perks for my homebrew ttrpg magic systems time magic.
currently there are 2 perks, which are fine, but lack a bit of impact, its a dragging but also interesting puzzle.
