At the least open to suggestion of conflict of interest, perhaps even bribery. Nor is it open and honest to claim poverty like this while in paid employ.

@PaulBlack2022 @NESzapp @LegalGengar It is a legal requirement for lawyer to seek proof of funds. Usually done long before exchange but DEFINITELY before exchange. Estate agents can ask but you're not obliged to provide proof to them. Perhaps that's what you mean?
Seller said he signed contract and sent if to buyer.

@PaulBlack2022 @NESzapp @LegalGengar No, but drawn up and signed by the seller and sent to the buyer. Proof of funds are needed to get to this stage. A legal requirement by the lawyer.

The very thing she said she couldn't do and the financial security she definitely didn't have.

Her more recent claims: no Patreon income for a year, low/no income & NO SAVINGS, never claims UC, volunteering for 90 hr weeks for months.
Still rocks up to an estate agent specialising in short leases & cash sales with the required sum.

She's claimed after 2022 to have no financial security/ability to buy a house. This CASH SALE reached exchange of contracts so she had access to the funds.
That's the story.

@LegalGengar Yes, the source of funds is unknown. The key fact is that Jack Monroe had access to/control over such a sum. During this time she was STILL reiterating her poverty status, lack of any financial security & inability to obtain a home for her & her son.
