@ChazakielDoremi the problem is that it's occasionally true just often enough that you can't tell people to just think of it as categorically false because they'll remember having heard about someone who was unusually genetically suitable for something
@chuunigaki if you're worried about placebos, practice measuring your bust-band difference until you have a technique that's reliably within ~1cm, then once you start something take weekly measurements same day and time so you can see if over a couple months you actually make progress
@chuunigaki if you have that, we know some people have had some success doing cycles of ramping e prog and prolactin together, then sharply dropping e and prog levels while maintaining the prolactin ramp as something to do if even high blood e levels aren't giving growth anymore
@chuunigaki if you can still get growth from steady state levels, blood e levels in the 300ish range combined with prog topically to your boobs is likely to work
@ChazakielDoremi because no matter what fluid you live in, if you go down enough you hit dirt. it's like asking why we don't call it air since that covers even more area
@ChazakielDoremi my point is that in addition to it being a stupid idea for the reasons you said, I've never seen the people who believe it set scope limits on these sorts of ideas, so they're not even useful ideas because they could just be true by most people complying after enough torture
@ChazakielDoremi if you could make me listen to you uninterrupted for 5 years straight I don't feel confident in predicting the outcome, but torture can do a lot to people, so I wouldn't rule out there being some way you could talk me into that if I couldn't escape listening to you
@meiberu_magica this is the view we lean towards more. it both better fits our experience and is more congruent with current research into how brains create the experience of self. there seems to be a region in the interface between memory and other functions that holds a baseline recall pattern
