@KosherChutzpah I'm pretty sure going to was with and destabilizing all your neighbors, leveling villages in an ostensibly friendly nation, having 2nd class citizens and absolutely wrecking the tiny areas you allow ethnic minorities to live in is frowned upon everywhere
@ScienceDJX Former Mormon turned Orthodox Christian: kind of. Not by the definition of the Nicene creed, no, but they do believe Jesus came, took on the sins of humanity and salvation comes through Him. Kind of. They just have some key details about His nature incorrect.
@dylanmallman Plot twist: Most members haven't dug into it that deeply
The indoctrination to trust the church leaders and pray for confirmation if you have questions, and if you feel your answer doesn't align with the church to keep praying til it does, is pretty powerful.
@IwannabeNova Really, just don't, it's kinda fun at first but then you realize it is just wrecking your energy, making you puffy and bloated and doing regrettable things.
@Sagutxis Weird to hate something that's just fact. No one is spiting you, no one is disrespecting you, it's like hating the weather for raining or the grass for daring to be green or plants for making pollen.
My second son was born 2 months early due to complications my wife was experiencing, the ultrasound they performed showed he was going to have significant heart, kidney, and brain issues. The doctor pretty obviously was suggesting we abort. I told her, no, we'll see what we're dealing with tomorrow after he's born. He's a happy, healthy, intelligent adolescent today with no issues or symptoms. It haunts me to imagine the alternative reality where we allowed her to convince us to terminate the pregnancy...
