It's genuinely scary we're at a point where some trans people cannot tell the difference between "they/them until told otherwise" versus "they/them despite being told otherwise".
A revolving door of politics where the winner is always someone just barely tolerable for a couple years before they're ousted or pressured to resign ad infinitum
π¨ BREAKING: Keir Starmer is now considering resigning after Cabinet Ministers called for him to step down
He'll come to a decision with his wife and family over the weekend

I've been avoiding any active participation of this website for months because it's awful here but my god I can't deal the fact that these are the two domineering sides to my feed right now.
Britain is becoming isolated. Travel is expensive and third spaces are decimated. Young people lack in person community, and stripping their online replacement is nothing short of sinister, and a blatant coverup for mass unsecured private data collection. The UK is fucked, man.
We're in the midst of having to hand over every last scrap of semi private information we have to unrecognised third parties during a time of constant data breaches, and 80% of my timeline is American's complaining about cheese and onion sandwiches. We live in actual hell.
@sofiaa02xx big up minimum wage rise giving me a whole pre-tax Β£4.13 more per day, should promote it as subsidising tesco meal deals to make it look less pathetic
@BunnyJugs JSA doesn't even exist anymore it's just UC now, and the new JSA can only be claimed if you've contributed a certain amount of NI, which requires working already lol
@stacycay@loopzoooop Yes because what will really improve Britain right now is making the NHS drain your bank account every time you go to your GP that will fix us, just one more private business guys I promise this'll be the last one just one more it'll fix everything I promise
@veggie_eric It teaches by repetition, not rules. You're never taught grammar or sentence structure or syntax, it just throws variations of the same sentences at you forever until you learn by proxy but don't know WHY it's like that, it's only good for refreshing if you know the language
@veggie_eric I'm on a 900+ day streak and couldn't speak a line of French without prompting or multiple minutes silent thinking time, it's gameified tiktokified streakslop but if I lose my streak it will break my spirit so I soldier on
@MxHeckinCommie I remember once having 7 tabs open finding out the real logistics of surviving on a literal barren rock in the ocean for a story about medusa and how she'd fish and use the fish oil to make fish tallow candles for light and fire lmao you gotta have lots of tabs when writing
@MxHeckinCommie As someone who did creative writing, rawdogging creative thought like that is scary in itself, I needed charts and mood boards and research open for accuracy in all of my pieces haha
@harristic_ The progression route for armour is hard to slot into because leather is more awkward to get than iron, diamond only slightly more than iron, and netherite far more, so it could be a nice wood/stone tool equivalent for armour at the least
@harristic_ Would be cool if the armour started below/equal to iron but oxidised with wear and got stronger as it aged? Still not to as good as diamond obviously but could be a fun midground?
@MxHeckinCommie Like sure, I can drink a glass of ice water which cools my insides, but my insides aren't the problem, it's the fact that my skin can't sweat because there's TOO MUCH MOISTURE IN THE AIR FOR IT TO SWEAT INTO
@MxHeckinCommie Is this following on from the American belief that 'people in europe are all dehydrated' because we don't all have 4 litre lead flake stanley cups with poison snack holders on them everywhere we go
