Lakeside school district will be closed tomorrow Friday the 25th for on site instruction. This is not an easy call however we are fearful black ice will form with temperatures reaching in the 20’s before the school day. We will use an AMI day.

Lakeside School District will be closed tomorrow Thursday, February 3rd. We have been in contact with Emergency management in Garland County and the predictions indicate conditions may get bad. We will provide Alternative Methods of Instruction for our students.

Today school will be delayed two hours. Doors will be open at the normal time for employees or students that are present.

Another remote learning day today. Make the most of today at home. The Burb looks cold, so I will just stay in the house. Stay safe and check on others.
Clarification: Online/Remote Learning Days are scheduled 2/15-2/19. 2/18 Parent Teacher Conferences will be by appointment with your student’s teacher or principal. 2/19 is an Online Learning Day per our 20-21 approved calendar; however, there will be no new content assigned.
Lakeside School District will continue with remote learning through the 18th . We will not have on-site instruction because of the weather conditions. We are already scheduled to be out of school on Friday the 19th so we will not have school on-site or remotely that day.

This wreck happened on Malvern Avenue this morning. The 18 wheeler jackknifed. Another truck did a 180 on the overpass over Malvern Avenue. Just because you can’t see ice doesn’t mean it’s not there. Please be safe and drive cautiously.
