Everyone keeps saying that people like Raghav Chadha and others who moved to BJP are “gaddaar” because they betrayed the party’s values.

But pause for a second.

What values are we even talking about?

There was a time when Arvind Kejriwal went to Tamil Nadu, stood with Kamal Haasan, and said there are only two corrupt options in the state, DMK and AIADMK. He positioned Kamal Haasan's party as the honest alternative.

Today, the same Kejriwal is campaigning in Tamil Nadu for M. K. Stalin.And Kamal Haasan is in Parliament with support from that very ecosystem.

So what changed?

This is the same leader who once said Lalu Prasad Yadav should be in jail.
The same leader who claimed to have hundreds of pages of evidence against Sheila Dikshit and said he would never support Congress.

Today, AAP is comfortably aligned with RJD and Congress.

So again, the question is what values are we talking about?

Look at their internal history.

People like Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan were among the ideological architects of the party. Agree or disagree with them, they were consistent in their thought process.

What happened to them? They were pushed out, unceremoniously.

The people who built the party… are no longer in it.

And then there were promises.

No VIP culture.
No big houses.
No political privilege.

Fast forward to today.
Look at the residence controversies. Look at governance patterns in Delhi and Punjab.

At some point, you have to ask, If every founding principle has already been diluted…If most founding faces are already gone…Then on what moral ground are you calling others “traitors”?

Because maybe, just maybe, the bigger story is not who left.

The bigger story is what the party itself has become.
