"Persons with disabilities are not able to fully participate in national life or benefit from budget priorities." – Dr. @ShashiTharoor , Member of Parliament, at NCPEDP’s #EmpoweringInclusion event.

Dr. Tharoor emphasised the need for a societal shift and concrete policies to enable full participation of persons with disabilities. He highlighted systemic barriers in policies, budget allocations and public perception that continue to restrict inclusion. He urged Parliamentarians to bring these challenges into the legislature, ensuring that disability inclusion is part of national discussions and decision-making.

A shift in approach is needed—empowerment must be built into governance and society.
