It is said as follows in the Shiv Purana: “During the twenty-eighth Dwapar age when Dwaipayan, son of Parasar, shall be Vyas and Lord Vishnu shall incarnate as Lord Krishna, son of Vasudev, I too shall incarnate in the body of a celibate and shall be known as Lakulish."
Today is the day when Lord Lakulish incarnated on this Earth. He entered the dead body of a young Brahmin boy of Atri Gotra. May Lord Lakulish guide everyone to the path of Dharma as prescribed by him through his disciples (Rajarshi & Kripalu). Jay Bhagwan!
Stop falling for these scams and start doing your Nitya Karmas. In case you don't know which Nitya Karmas to start with, let me know. I can create a separate thread on the same.
It is not possible to awaken Kundalini for common people. She is the manifestation of Kali in our body. When She rises up, She eats the sapta dhatus as per Gyaneshwari Gita. The body of the yogi becomes emaciated. My guru weighed 37 kgs only at one point.
Also, when different chakras are penetrated, as per Lalitha Sahasranama, She gives darshan in different forms. Do any of these fake gurus get the opportunity to have darshan of Hers? It is not possible.
This blurring of lines between Pravritty and Nivritty Margs is the biggest reason for downfall of Hinduism in the modern era. The fake gurus keep selling these workshops to awaken kundalini and penetrate chakras because they want to make money. If they tell truth, who will pay?
No one today wants to do Nitya Karma which is prescribed by the Shastras for Pravritty Marg. Everyone wants to awaken the kundalini and do samadhi which are meant for renunciates only. It is like a 1st grade student wanting to study PhD books. You first need to learn English 🙂
The delineation of Pravritty Marg (householders) and Nivritty Marg (renunciates) has been blurred away. The market is full of fake gurus who are teaching "awakening of Kundalini", "shambhavi", "khechari" and what not. Gullible people not reading shastras pay money for these scams
Vedas are the original verses heard during yoga sadhana but it is too difficult to comprehend for commoners in the modern timeline as the number of yogis keep reducing with each yuga. Thus, rishis wrote Smriti granthas to simplify the knowledge of vedas.
It is imperative to understand that Vedas are written in really complicated sanskrit. It is sandhya bhasha meaning coded language and only a Guru can truly explain the meaning of those verses after gyanvati diksha. The number of realized yogis reduce with each yuga.
We need to get out of this mentality of imagining someone taking a pen (kalam) and writing the Vedas based on imaginations. The Vedic shlokas are the rhythmic gross manifestation of the final truth heard by Rishis. Thus, there's no point in interpreting them at surface levels.
People, these days love in engaging in mental acrobatics with respect to scriptures. One of the major (mis)interpretations comes when people say vedic religion and puranic religion are different just because they found the surface level meanings of the verses to be different.
Yes, He did live for 11,000 years and Ramayana happened in Treta Yuga which is almost a million years ago from today. Scriptures are not meant for manipulation to make it palatable as per modern science. There's a possibility that modern science doesn't know a lot of things.
Did Rama Really Live for 11,000 Years?
The Valmiki Ramayana says Rama ruled for 11,000 years. It also records His life events in normal human years.
Both can’t be true — or can they?
This contradiction confuses devotees and gives critics ammunition.
In "Ramayana 5114 BCE", I cut through the confusion. With textual evidence and context, I decode what the 11,000 years actually mean — and why both sets of verses are true.
No blind faith. No loose interpretation. Only clarity.
Read the chapter that settles the debate.

When a yogi attains a divine body, He doesn't have a strain of hair on the face. That is common for all siddhas and Gods. Even Sant Gyaneshwar mentions the same in His commentary on Bhagvad Gita.
notice how Sri Rama is portrayed as a bearded ascetic? that's because this is actually how he is supposed to look as an ascetic. i dunno who started this trend of making Gods' faces all smooth and buttery
Mila repa left the world without leaving behind a body.
He also says "Rom, the divine fire of the vital force having been ever contemplated — what power hath the fire over him? For him who has long been engaged in meditation, what need is there to leave behind a fleshly corpse?"
Kabir ji says "muwe ko kya moksh" - the one who is dead doesn't attain moksh. All great saints didn't leave behind a dead body.
Flowers were left behind when Kabirji departed (no body)
Mirabai merged into dwarkadhish with her duppata on the idol (no body)
The biggest misconception spread by many people today is that "This is my last birth and I will achieve liberation after I die"
Liberation has to be achieved while living. Once you die, there's no possibility of liberation.
न तस्य रोगो न जरा न मृत्युः
प्राप्तस्य योगाग्निमयं शरीरम् ।
One who attains a body made of Yogic Fire (Energy body or divine body) doesn't experience disease, old age or death.
- Shvetashvatar Upanishad
In conclusion, every dynasty in India at one point was a follower of Lord Lakulish. He has always been the direct or indirect inspiration behind the protection and revival of the Sanatan values in Kaliyuga. Jay Bhagwan.
Apart from the Mewar dynasty in Rajasthan, you will be amazed to know that even Chauhan dynasty (yes, the one with the famous Prithviraj) was a follower of Lord Lakulish. The Harsha inscription found in Harshnath temple of Sikar mentions about how Lord Harshnath is their kuldeva.
Today, his temple in Pushkar is called the Baba Ajaypal temple. In this temple, along with his idol, you will find the idol of Lord Lakulish.
