Vedas are the original verses heard during yoga sadhana but it is too difficult to comprehend for commoners in the modern timeline as the number of yogis keep reducing with each yuga. Thus, rishis wrote Smriti granthas to simplify the knowledge of vedas.

Kabir ji says "muwe ko kya moksh" - the one who is dead doesn't attain moksh. All great saints didn't leave behind a dead body.

The biggest misconception spread by many people today is that "This is my last birth and I will achieve liberation after I die"

Liberation has to be achieved while living. Once you die, there's no possibility of liberation.
