@GBA_office There was a startup called #walkingpal who rewarded people when they walked more instead of taking autos or bike rides. Rewards turn into habit and eventually becomes part of life.
In a landmark judgment on May 22, 2026, the Delhi High Court held Google liable for trademark infringement.
The case was between Hindware and Google. The court held that, by allowing competitors of Hindware to purchase the keyword “Hindware” (a trademarked name) through Google Ads, Google enabled trademark infringement. The court said that “Hindware” is not a generic English word but a specific brand trademark. By allowing competitors to place ads on that keyword, Google is enabling competitors to divert traffic that should have legitimately gone to Hindware.
This has been a big challenge for companies, both big and small. Even today, if you search for Zerodha, you will see search results from competitors. This has been happening for well over a decade.
Although it is hard to quantify, we have lost a lot of business to this. Think about what happens. Whenever someone searches for "Zerodha", the traffic should rightfully come to Zerodha. But what often happens is that the first couple of results on Google Search are ads, leading the customer to a competitor's website. In the process, we lose business that should have come to us.
This is made worse by the fact that we do not advertise.
There is also an even more ironic thing here. A lot of brands, just to capture the traffic that should have come to them organically, end up bidding on their own keywords. Think about it. If you own a business and have a trademarked name for your business, you still have to pay Google just to hopefully make your name too expensive for your competition to run ads on it.
But now, thanks to the Delhi High Court judgment, we have the option of taking legal action whenever we come across instances of other companies squatting on our keyword.
The other brilliant part about this judgment is that it levels the playing field. And this matters even more for startups, who are already starved for resources and have the odds stacked against them. The last thing they need is for competitors to bid on their brand keywords and steal their traffic.
This judgment now opens up a route for legal recourse whenever such deceptive practices occur.
While keyword squatting is most visible in Google web results, it is an even bigger problem when it comes to app stores. Whenever someone searches for your brand, the first couple of results, both above and below your app listing, often tend to be those of your competitors. And in the case of app stores, I think the ads are even more problematic. When a user clicks on an app-store ad, they often end up installing an app. That is a much higher-commitment action than clicking on a competitor’s web search result and then just closing the page. Because the user has installed an application, the conversions, at least anecdotally, tend to be much higher.
Again, brands that do not advertise are at the receiving end of this. So I welcome this ruling and hope this changes the unfair norms we've been living by for so long.
HR: We lost another senior employee today.
CEO: What happened?
HR: He resigned after receiving an external offer.
CEO: That makes no sense. We could have matched it.
HR: That is the issue. We were willing to pay a stranger 70% more for the same role, but would not give our existing employee even a 20% raise.
CEO: External hiring is different. That is market pricing.
HR: He noticed that too.
CEO: We appreciated his loyalty. He had been here for years.
HR: Yes. And during those years, he consistently exceeded expectations while being told to “wait for the next review cycle.”
CEO: But budgets are complicated for internal employees.
HR: Apparently not for external candidates. The new hire budget was approved in three days. His raise request sat for eight months.
CEO: We had to stay competitive in the hiring market.
HR: He was part of that same market. The only difference is that another company valued him before we did.
CEO: So he left over salary?
HR: Not just salary. He left because he realized loyalty was being rewarded less than leaving.
CEO: That is unfortunate.
HR: Yes. Companies will sometimes trust a candidate after a 45-minute interview more than an employee who already proved themselves for five years.
CEO: So what are you saying?
HR: If companies only recognize employee value after a resignation letter appears, then eventually employees will stop waiting to be appreciated internally.
Sometimes the fastest way for an employee to get market value is to stop being your employee.
@sharma_views Yet no politician was involved in this and no one will be held responsible or accountable. This country will go in the opposite direction of Vikshit if no accountability is there
@dashman207@CMO_Odisha@DGPOdisha@MohanMOdisha Crime has become a tool for goons and no law, no action, no message is being sent to them. They have become so powerful that nobody can do anything here. @HMOIndia Law & order needs to be very strictly enforced 🙏
@BhaktaCharanDas And here the @CMO_Odisha will just pay the compensation and the news is gone. These type of cases should be investigated and the findings should be publicly reported for general public to know that correct action is being taken.
@MeedasSahoo This person is so ignorant that students of VSSUT when approached him for improving education utilities around the campus, he said it is not necessary. For him, showcasing others achievements as his is very important and nothing else.
@CMCCuttack@CuttackDM Please repair and install street lights at Khannagar, nearby Xavier School, backside of Tadka Hotel. After recent heavy winds, the lights have broken and are hanging. While few lanes dont have any street lights, causing problems.
So Modi wants common citizens to "follow their duties" and cut down on petrol-diesel consumption.
Well then Modi should personally ensure
> Reduction in MP-MLA convoys' size by 80%
> Total ban on chartered flights of all politicians
> Total ban on foreign trips of all politicians
> No mega political meetings and rallies
> No mega swearing-in gatherings
> No car or bike rallies for parties
> No foreign visits for himself
> All rules to apply to RSS also
Of course, this won't happen. But we have to follow 'kartavya' because this is 'Amrut Kaal' and we are all subjects of the regime, even as the regime gorges on fruits of our taxes.
Take the example of Hyderabad station and airport. The sleeping pods are one of the best examples of how space can be utilised for such use cases with minimal maintenance and less cost to setup and operate. @AshwiniVaishnaw Please look into this.
As I keep saying, people shouldn’t sleep like this on railway station floors.
There should be separate spacious halls where passengers can lie down comfortably.
Scenes like this leave a poor impression on anyone walking into a station.

@narendramodi Shockingly after BJP was elected in Odisha, the debt here in Odisha has also increased drastically and members from BJD who knew their corrupt money would have been exposed, changed party to BJP for safe haven. @narendramodi You dont see this?
Appeal all MPs of #Odisha, irrespective of party affiliation, to raise your voice both inside and outside the Parliament against the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill as it could undermine Odisha’s dignity, representation, and long-term interests. Let us stand united in protecting the interests of our state while continuing to support genuine and equitable reforms.
The Bill if implemented, will reduce Odisha's share in Lok Sabha from 3.9% to 3.4%, making us amongst the top 6 states losing their share. A 0.5% share loss is a huge loss given our minuscule 3.9% representation today. A relative reduction in Odisha's voice in the Lok Sabha would weaken our ability to advocate for state-specific needs, from disaster management to tribal welfare and regional development. This is not merely a political issue—it is about preserving the federal spirit enshrined in our Constitution.
@bjd_odisha wholeheartedly supports the principle of women's empowerment and greater representation of women in Legislative bodies. The idea of reserving seats for women in Parliament and the State Assemblies is both progressive and necessary. I have been a personal champion of it, as has been my father Late Biju Patnaik. He pioneered the reservation for women in Panchayat Raj Institutions and I took it forward further with your support. The Biju Janata Dal whole-heartedly supported the 106th Constitution Amendment Bill in 2023 with regard to Women's reservation (the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam). However, the current 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, as proposed, raises serious concerns that go beyond its stated objective.
The proposed linkage between women's reservation and the delimitation process, which is expected to follow the next Census, has far-reaching implications. States like Odisha, which have made significant strides in population control and human development are being penalised. A disproportionate increase in Lok Sabha seats in more populous states could skew the allocation of central resources and policy attention. This may adversely impact Odisha's share in national development priorities, fiscal transfers, and infrastructure investments. Odisha has been a large contributor to the revenue of the Government and yet has always received discriminatory treatment including the denial of a special status. Our development needs are unique given the composition of our population.
For the people of #Odisha, representation in Parliament is not just about numbers—it is about identity, pride, and the assurance that our unique history, language, and aspirations are heard at the highest levels. Any move that diminishes our presence in the national discourse can create a sense of degradation among our people.
The Bill steals the political representation future of people of Odisha. We cannot let it happen under our watch when people of Odisha have voted you to protect their economic and political future through the Parliament. Biju Janata Dal is prepared to take it to the people of Odisha if our legitimate concerns and demands are trampled by the majority voice of other states.
@nksbbs@ppratishruti@bmcbbsr That was the time when #5T was in play and the enforcement of 5T guidelines was strong. We lost that and we are stuck with what we have choosen
Dearest Railway Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw ji & @RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia Team,
I have posted this in the past. I am asking again and again. This is very very important & needs immediate attention.
Why should a RAC passenger bear full charge for 50% of a side lower seat? Isn't it unfair?
Once the chart is prepared, Railways must refund 50% of the fare with interest for RAC passengers. The same source of payment can be used for the refund.
Pls implement this immediately. I continue to see many ladies and senior citizens who travel by RAC, without sleep and they pay full charge. This is so unfair.
If any of you reading this feel that this should be implemented immediately, comment with your thoughts and share until Railways makes it a fair deal for passengers.
This is long long overdue. I hope at-least this time it is considered and implemented.
On behalf of Indian Passengers,

As a Hindu, I believe the entire Universe is the manifestation of the Divine. All of it - the river, the tree, the snake, the stone, the earthworm, the cow, the monkey, the elephant - all of it is divine manifestation. That belief is not Demonic, it is not Satanic, that is the path to living in harmony with nature and with other human beings.
Arrogant, intolerant monotheism - see the video below - that goes around labeling reverence for all of nature as "demonic" and "satanic"- that belief is what makes men do evil.
History supplies ample evidence. Hindus did not run crusades. Hindus did not burn witches at the stake. Hindus did not invade nations and enslave people in the name of bringing "Civilization" and "God" to "pagans".
