Mr. Gulshan Pahuja Sent to Jail in Contempt Case

Mr. Gulshan Pahuja was taken into custody today. He is currently under police custody and is expected to be shifted to Tihar Jail tomorrow.

A brief background: Mr. Pahuja has been advocating for audio-video recording of court proceedings since 2014, along with several other judicial reforms. In 2022, he uploaded a YouTube video in which he interviewed two lawyers who had raised allegations concerning the judiciary. Contempt proceedings were subsequently initiated against both lawyers as well as Mr. Pahuja.

The two lawyers tendered unconditional apologies before the court. Mr. Pahuja, however, chose not to apologize, despite the judges repeatedly advising him to do so. Instead of taking what many would have considered the easier path of apologizing and returning home, he chose to stand by his views, knowing it could result in imprisonment.

In the interview, Mr. Pahuja had described the judiciary as "dictators," a remark that formed part of the contempt proceedings.

Last month, I also recorded a podcast with Mr. Pahuja, during which he spoke about what he described as his deeply unpleasant experience during the court proceedings. He said that he was humiliated, ridiculed, and mocked for not being fluent in English. Despite this, he remained steadfast in his position.

Now, after nearly a year of legal proceedings, Mr. Gulshan Pahuja has been sentenced to six months' imprisonment.

INDIAN EXPRESS DROPS A LAND BOMB ON BJP CM 🔥

After Mohan Yadav became Madhya Pradesh CM, his family and real estate companies reportedly bought at least 137 plots spread over 168 acres in and around Ujjain.

This is the same Ujjain being reshaped for Simhastha 2028 with highways, road widening, townships, riverfront projects, medical city, IT park and new commercial zones.

The most damning part is this: out of the 168 acres bought after he became CM, 111 acres are reportedly located along roads announced by CM Mohan Yadav himself.

His family already had land. But after Dec 2023, the land buying saw a sharp jump, right when Ujjain’s development map started turning into a goldmine.

Indian Express repeatedly asked the CM for answers. He stayed silent.

Two days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to Indians to adopt austerity. Reduce gold purchases, avoid unnecessary foreign travel, consume less petrol and diesel, shift to electric vehicles, and embrace work-from-home practices. Why? Because gold and crude oil are imported, and they drain precious foreign exchange reserves. And with the Iran conflict escalating, global crude prices have surged sharply.

Fair enough. But the Prime Minister and senior leaders continue to travel across the country with massive convoys, roadshows, helicopters, flower showers, and extravagant political campaigns. Will the prime minister admit that ‘such political excesses were our mistake, and all of us including me, will not repeat it’? Why should the common man suffer for your mistakes? Is austerity meant only for the citizen and never for the political class?

Crude oil today is hovering around 90–100 dollars per barrel. But this is not the first time the world has seen such prices. During the 2008 financial crisis, during the Arab Spring of 2011–12, and the 2013–14 phase (when the BJP itself aggressively attacked the UPA over fuel prices) and again during the OPEC production cuts in 2022–23, crude prices had similarly touched these levels. During 3-4 such periods Dr. Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi himself held the position once. Dr. Manmohan Singh did not ask citizens to stop travelling abroad. Narendra Modi himself did not make such appeals earlier either. So why now? When global crude prices had fallen to nearly 60–65 dollars per barrel, Indian citizens were still paying extremely high prices for petrol and diesel because of heavy taxation. The government earned lakhs of crores through fuel taxes. Where did that money go?

The Prime Minister once mocked the “freebie culture.” Yet elections - from Maharashtra to Bihar to West Bengal - are increasingly fought and won through precisely such populist giveaways. In Maharashtra, the ‘Ladki Bahin’ scheme has put tremendous strain on state finances. Instead of genuinely empowering women through jobs, education, and safety, governments distribute temporary cash benefits while inflation silently takes back much of that money. If the economic situation is indeed serious, will the Prime Minister openly ask all political parties to stop competitive populism?

The PM now asks citizens to reduce fuel consumption. Fine. But why did this wisdom not emerge during massive election campaigns involving thousands of vehicles, endless roadshows, and the transport of lakhs of supporters across states like West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala? That itself would have burnt crores of liters of petrol and diesel. This didn’t occur to you when massive money power was wielded to gain votes there? Citizens are also being advised to avoid foreign travel. But how many Indians can afford international travel today? Even the middle class that can afford it is living under constant job insecurity. Students wish to study abroad because India has not invested deeply enough in higher education over the last decade, nor created enough confidence in domestic institutions. All you seem to be interested in is imposition of Hindi.

Meanwhile, foreign institutional investors have been steadily pulling money out of Indian markets. Estimates suggest that nearly ₹1.5 lakh crore has exited over the past few months. The Prime Minister and his Chief Ministers travel to colder climates to cement investment deals. But if they are making those deals with Indian companies, why even go to Switzerland for it? The Prime Minister himself is embarking on another multi-country foreign tour beginning May 15. First cancel these travels and then preach austerity.

I'm trying to be objective on everything, but after the destruction of Gaza, recent unwarranted bombing of Syria a few days ago, and now this, I am struggling to remain objective!

Israel needs to reconsider its foreign policy or the cycle of violence won't stop!

You cannot occupy Lebanon and expect the Government to disarm the militia that was founded BECAUSE of Israeli occupation decades ago!

You cannot bomb Syria non stop and expect the people and the Government to sit idly and normalize relations

You cannot wipe out Gaza and keep occupying it, then pass a law where the death penalty applies to Palestinians and not Israelis, and expect Palestinians to not be radicalized and fight back

You cannot expect to bomb Iran, then propose a pipeline that benefits you, and expect the Arab world to become allies

I want Hezbollah gone. I want the Iranian regime gone. I want Palestinian radicalization gone. But this is NOT the way to do it!

This is NOT the way to achieve peace in the region!

ISIS Major Bio-Terror Plot Foiled: Hyderabad Doctor Held in Gujarat for Planning Deadly Ricin Attacks

Following his arrest, the ATS traced Azad Suleman Sheikh (20), a tailor from Shamli, and Mohammad Suhail Mohammad Saleem Khan (23), a student from Lakhimpur Kheri. Both men were allegedly helping supply weapons and ammunition to Saiyed. The two were detained in Banaskantha district, and investigations revealed that the weapons originated from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan.

During the search, police found two Glock pistols, a Beretta, 30 live cartridges, and 4 kg of castor-bean mash, a substance used to produce ricin, one of the world’s most dangerous toxins.

The doctor, who allegedly completed his MBBS degree in China, is believed to have been preparing ricin in large quantities for possible use in a mass poisoning attack.

Ricin is a highly toxic poison derived from castor beans after the oil has been extracted. The substance has no known antidote if ingested, inhaled or injected. Castor oil, which is used for skincare and in various commercial products, does not contain the toxin.

The MP govt has raised reservation in direct recruitment to 73%. The remaining 27% isn’t earmarked for general category, it’s open to all.

The matter went to the SC, where the MP govt, in its affidavit, made arguments like these:

This system, reinforced by ideas of God’s will, rebirth, and fatalism, left Shudras so crippled that they could not even imagine resisting injustice.

All of this can be disproven with even a little scrutiny, yet it’s shocking to hear such statements from a BJP govt. One would expect them to bridge divides and unite Hindus, this does the exact opposite. And if BJP truly wants to follow this path, why stop short? Why not reserve 100% for Bahujans? Why not close the doors entirely to the general category and be done with it for once and all?

A Pakistani court has ordered two Hindu families to pay 1 crore rupees each as bond just to get custody of their minor children kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam

Court said the bond is to ensure the families do not make the kids revert to their old religion

This is the entire case reported from Sanghar district in Sindh, Pakistan:

-Three sisters and a male cousin - all from Hindu families - disappeared. -Their families filed missing complaint suspecting abduction.
-police found the children had converted to Islam and were living with members of majority community
-When matter reached court, judges said two girls (Diya and Jiya) are above 18 while the rest (Dashina and Harjeet) are under 18
-Court refused to give back custody of Diya and Jiya to their families, saying the two have free will
-But even for the other two, court said that families can take them as they are minor but on the condition that they pay up 10 million Pakistani rupees each in bond as undertaking that they won’t make the kids return to Hindu fold

This is state-sponsored extortion to enable forced conversions while maintaining a sham of legal process.

Double standards of Judiciary in cases of Adultery :

He is Saquib Nachan.

First arrested in 1991 for a Gujarat terror case, sentenced to life, but the SC reduced it to 10 years. He walked free in 2001. Did he reform? Lol.

In 2003, arrested again for the triple Mumbai blasts, sentenced to 10 years but released early for good behaviour. Did he reform? Lol.

He went back in his village Padgha (Thane rural), declared it a ‘liberated zone’ called ‘Al-Sham’, administered ‘Bayath’, an oath to ISIS Khalifa, recruited youth from Padgha-Borivali, and plotted terror across India. In 2023, arrested again for planning a drone attack on Mumbai. Will he reform? Lol. You might say no. But trust the judiciary to give him another chance.

To know how much the judiciary loves him : In 2024, while in jail, he moved the SC against govt notifications declaring ISIS a terrorist organization. The Court, instead of dismissing his plea outright, heard it, allowing him to represent himself online.

Several of his relatives are terrorists, some fought for ISIS in Syria.
Any sane system would have neutralized him at the first crime itself, but our justice system enabled him to create an empire of terrorism, recruiting so many others.
