HE DENIED HIS SON AT 28… SIXTEEN YEARS LATER, HE BEGGED FOR A SECOND CHANCE.

At 28, Chinedu was a promising businessman when 23-year-old Charity told him she was pregnant.

“Are you sure this child is mine?” he asked coldly.

When she insisted, he accused her of trying to trap him and denied the pregnancy.

Heartbroken, Charity moved on and eventually married another man who loved her son, Daniel, as his own. Daniel carried his stepfather’s surname and believed he was his biological father.

Sixteen years later, Chinedu had married twice, but neither marriage produced a child. Strangely, both women became pregnant after leaving him.

Desperate, he consulted a seer.

“You rejected a child in your past. If you want another child, go back and face what you abandoned.”

Chinedu searched until he found Charity and begged to meet Daniel.

When he finally stood before the sixteen-year-old boy, tears filled his eyes.

“Daniel, I am your biological father. Please, come and live with me. Let me make up for the lost years.”

Daniel stared at him before replying, “Where were you when my mother cried? Where were you when I needed school fees, protection, and a father's love?”

Chinedu fell to his knees.

But Daniel shook his head.

“I already have a father. He's the man who stayed when you walked away. I don't hate you, sir, but I won't leave the man who raised me to become the son of a stranger.”

Charity respected her son's decision.

Chinedu left with tears streaming down his face, finally understanding that the child he once considered a burden had grown into the blessing he spent sixteen years praying for.

And the hardest punishment wasn't being childless. It was discovering that when he finally wanted to be a father, his son no longer needed him.

@SirCadesz You're right sir... Trust me their daughters won't follow in their mother's steps

There was a story about a man who married two wives.

The first wife was the “strong woman.” She farmed, took care of herself and the children, handled the house, and rarely asked her husband for anything, she could carry almost everything on her own.

The second wife was different, she wasn’t as strong or independent, she needed her husband for almost everything, so he provided for her, sometimes even more than she asked for.

One day, someone asked the man:
“Why do you provide and care for this woman so much, but you don’t seem to do the same for your first wife?”

His response was basically:
“My first wife is strong, she can take care of herself, the children and even the house. But this other woman is fragile, if I don’t do things for her, she won’t even lift a pin.”

Now, whether you agree with the man’s reasoning or not, there is a lesson here that women need to understand.

I have said this many times, when you constantly show a man that you can carry everything, they will eventually stop seeing the need to carry anything for you.
You become so reliable that your strength starts working against you.

"Last Thursday night, I ran out of fuel on Third Mainland Bridge, 11pm. Phone at 2%, no power bank… I want to tell you what happened next.

I pushed the hazard lights on and sat in the car, trying to think. Cars were flying past me. Nobody slowed down, not one person. Lagos at night on that bridge is a different kind of alone.

After about 15 minutes, I saw headlights slow down behind me. A danfo bus. Old and battered. One headlight slightly dim.

The driver came down. Big man, rough-looking, dirty shirt and chewing something. My first thought was fear. My second thought was, I had no choice. He looked at my car, looked at me. Said, “Fuel?”

I nodded. He didn’t say anything else, just went back to his bus. I thought he was leaving. He wasn’t…

He came back with a small gallon, maybe two litres… old plastic container with a rubber pipe attached. Like he kept it specifically for situations like this.

He poured it into my tank without being asked… without negotiating, without even looking at me for approval. I started the car. It came on.

I came down immediately and opened my wallet. I had ₦15,000 on me ($11). I held it out to him. He looked at the money, then looked at me and shook his head…

I thought he wanted more. I told him it was all I had. He said, “Keep am.” Just like that. Keep am…

I stood there confused. This man just helped a stranger on a bridge at 11pm and didn’t want anything. I asked him why.

He leaned against his bus, took a long breath and said something I have not stopped thinking about since…

He said in 1998, he broke down on that same bridge. Nighttime, pregnant wife in the passenger seat, no phone, no money, no fuel.

He said he sat there for almost an hour, crying and praying. Then a man in a big car stopped. Suit and tie. Looked like someone who had no business stopping for a danfo driver, but he stopped.

Bought fuel from somewhere, came back and filled his tank. Refused every penny he offered… Said only one thing before he drove off: “Pass am forward.” That was it. (Pass it forward.)

The man in the suit drove away, and he never saw him again. Twenty-five years, he carried those three words. Third Mainland Bridge. Waiting for his own turn to use them.

I stood on that bridge and didn’t know what to say. This man had been holding onto someone else’s kindness for 25 years. And he chose me to give it to a stranger in a car he had never seen before.

He got back into his danfo, gave me one nod and drove off into the night. I stood there watching his one dim headlight disappear, holding ₦15,000 I couldn’t give away.

I sat back in my car for a long time before I drove off, thinking about the man in the suit in 1998, who had no idea what he started. A chain of kindness that crossed 25 years and found me on the same bridge.

I don’t know who that danfo driver is. I don’t know his name.

But somewhere in Lagos tonight, he is driving that old bus, with one dim headlight, and a heart that has been quietly changing lives since 1998..."

- Man recounts how a kind danfo driver rescued him after his car ran out of fuel on Third Mainland Bridge.

A NIPPLE STRAIGHT FROM HELL…

I was in the salon yesterday when a young lady in her early 20s walked in wearing a mini white dress.

My dear… her nipples were so erect, they were pointing like a Hunter’s rifle.

I honestly felt embarrassed because it was a unisex salon, and there were men there too. But this young lady was completely comfortable moving around the salon, greeting everybody like she was dressed for a family meeting. 😭

And I kept wondering… how did we get here?

Why do some young people seem to be so comfortable with revealing outfits these days?

I understand that the traditional bra can sometimes be uncomfortable, but my sister, there are nipple covers, pasties, bralettes and other options now.

Or am I just getting old?

[Mara's creative @LamaraGist]

This is so scary 😳

[Awelewa 😍🥰❤️ @a4lasade]

I went to the market for foodstuff. I bought yam and left it with the woman while I went to get other things.

When I returned, the yam was too heavy to carry with my other sack, so I got a young boy with a wheelbarrow to help me take it to where I could get a keke.

On the way, I asked his price. He said, “Anything you give me.”

I gave him ₦1,000. He looked at me and said, “Madam, no change?”

I told him the ₦1,000 was for him. He smiled and said, “Thank you, ma. Big money.”

Apparently, ₦1,000 may be the highest he has earned for a trip of less than five minutes.
I heard that renting a wheelbarrow costs ₦1,000 for the day.

So, I basically paid his wheelbarrow rent for today.
He was so happy, and his happiness made me happy too.

[Mara's creative @LamaraGist]

@a4lasade Maybe he wanted you to have a change for once 😉
