The reply grok gave you is based off of a document of intent and strategy. The cited document basically (and this is realllllly stripped down) says "we will buy more, with more state direction, and mine a tiny bit more just in case"

This is because the GDP has done up faster than defense spending has - not because less money is being spent on defense.

@CashmanRachel I agree with the sentiment, but to be fair she is from there. I'd call my hometown from 'my town' Not because I own it, but because it's where I'm from.

Don't get me wrong, I had a terrible experience there and don't like it, but it's still my town.
