With profound gratitude, respect, and humility, I sincerely thank H.E. Dr. @SuluhuSamia President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for the trust and confidence she has placed in me by appointing me as her Advisor on Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health.
I pledge to serve with the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, diligence, and unwavering loyalty in support of Her Excellency’s vision and in service to the people of the United Republic of Tanzania.
I also take this opportunity to recognize the remarkable confidence and esteem accorded to President Samia by the @AfricanUnion Heads of State and Government, who have entrusted her with the distinguished responsibility of serving as the African Union Champion for Maternal and Child Health (MCH). This appointment reflects her outstanding leadership and steadfast commitment to improving the health and well-being of women, children across Africa.
As the Chairperson for Secretariat of the AU Champion for Maternal and Child Health, we look forward to working closely with governments, regional institutions, development partners, civil society, academia, the private sector, and all other stakeholders across Africa and beyond. Together we will support Her Excellency’s mandate and mobilize high-level political commitment, strategic partnerships, and collective action to accelerate progress toward ending preventable maternal, newborn, and child deaths across the African continent by 2030.
Finally, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all who have conveyed their congratulations, encouragement, and best wishes. Your support is deeply valued and serves as a source of inspiration as we embark on this important journey.
