In just a single year. 

Countless similar businesses – barbers, fast-food shops, and dessert parlours – also held certificates to sponsor so-called skilled workers.  

Is slicing shawarma what comes to mind when you think of high-skilled labour? 

The Tories told us they were bringing in the “brightest and best” to fill skills shortages.

And make no mistake, it was the Tories that created this mad system.

Retailers find their customers through social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. They do home delivery to postcodes in London.

The meat is often brought in on passenger flights in suitcases. 

More than 11 kg of illegal bushmeat was recently seized in South-East London. 

Much of the meat comes from critically endangered species, slaughtered with no restrictions whatsoever. 

And with no health checks, it carries high risks of diseases like Ebola, tuberculosis, and anthrax. 

British farmers have warned that the trade presents a biosecurity threat with “the potential to devastate the livestock farming sector and destroy the wider rural economy".

Take me back to older times when engagement like this was commonplace.

They should be applauded, not castigated.

A group of firefighters could face serious disciplinary action after they allegedly allowed a cancer-stricken young boy to have a ride on a fire engine.

Three members of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service are under investigation over the incident.

They were reported after allegedly allowing a group of youngsters to briefly ride the fire engine during a community open day.

The service believes the inquiry is justified as the rides took place on a public road, which could have potentially put the children in danger.

An unnamed firefighter said: "One of the children was a little boy who is recovering from cancer. It made both his day - and his parents'. The brigade is always pushing community engagement, then they react like this, which is completely over the top.

"It is a travesty. The engine went no more than a quarter of a mile down the road then circled a roundabout and came back. It was not even two minutes."

He added: "The lad loves fire engines and it is the type of stuff done by many firefighters over the years. This is all part of a recent clampdown on discipline by the service's professional standards department. Really, in this case, a bit of common sense should have been applied.

"The case has infuriated the rank and file. They could be given a final written warning or worse and there is talk of possible industrial action - not striking - but some other action."

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Where concerns are raised regarding conduct, they are considered through the appropriate procedures to ensure the standards expected of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service staff are maintained."

It’s not medicine. It’s a business model.

We’ve been trained to freak out at the first sign of a fever.
To shut down every cough.
To silence pain instead of asking where it’s coming from.

But symptoms are just your body talking to you.
They’re messengers. Warnings. Clues.
Trying to get your attention before something worse happens.

But modern medicine?
It doesn’t listen.
It shuts them up.

Take the pill.
Ignore the root.
Come back next month when it’s worse.

And we wonder why chronic illness is everywhere?

This system isn’t broken.

Rockefeller didn’t build this system to heal you.

A Saudi marriage counselor explains that under Islamic law, Muslim men may marry girls as young as one year old. He clarifies that sexual activity with these young girls is allowed, but full penetration is avoided until the child’s body develops enough to prevent serious physical harm—generally around age nine, according to Islamic rulings.

This is not an isolated opinion. Ayatollah Khomeini, founder of Iran’s Islamic regime, issued a similar ruling permitting Muslim men to marry infant girls and engage in sexual acts with them, provided full penetration does not occur before age nine or until the girl’s body is sufficiently developed.

In both Sunni Saudi Arabia and Shia Iran, Islamic jurisprudence deprives women and girls of most basic human rights. Islam is incompatible with basic human dignity and the protection of children.
