People like this are part of those Nigeria’s wealth are extracted and funneled to. In return they are reluctant to redistribute the wealth through official means by paying commensurate taxes or labour costs, they instead insist on choosing unofficial channels like online giveaways, charity, etc (with beneficiaries being those who worship them).

The result is a society that encourages criminal behavior and the worship of affluence. Eventually, people will realize that taking that route pays far better than remaining an honest, productive member of society.

So when you wonder why Nigerians behave the way the behave, understanding that these things are all connected, with the system being the source.

This is exactly my problem with these type of billionaires. Not that I have anything personally against them, but as representatives of the system that produces them, I see all of them as cancer to society.

I will never rate them.

learn to go where wealthy people go. you don’t have to spend like them, you just have to stop feeling like you don’t belong there.

i remember when i couldn’t afford the lifestyle i wanted yet.

every friday evening, i’d walk into a high end hotel lobby, order one coffee, sit in the same corner and open my laptop like i belonged there. nobody knew i was going back to a small brokie apartment after 😂 all they saw was someone comfortable in that environment. week after week, something changed.

i stopped feeling like an outsider. i studied how people spoke, how they carried themselves, how deals were discussed and how confidence looked in real life.

one night, a man approached me cos he assumed i was a regular. that conversation opened a door to an opportunity i wasn’t qualified for on paper but i carried myself like i was. do you know that months later, my reality caught up with that environment i had been exposing myself to. nothing magical happened. i simply stopped seeing that world as theirs and started seeing it as a place i belonged too

i will repeat this again;

if you spend all day at a fish market, you’ll leave smelling like fish even if you never touched one but spend your day in a perfume shop and you’ll carry the scent even if you didn’t buy anything, that’s how environment works. it rubs off, whether you realize it or not. the scent of your environment will always follow you.

wealth starts with familiarity before it starts with money. your mind has to accept a reality before ur life can build it. learn something, buena suerte.

Let us add context to it for a clearer understanding. As much as we all want the club to succeed, we should understand the following:

Real Madrid are spending from a position of strength. They built financial stability over years by winning major trophies, generating huge revenues and investing it to stay at the top.

Arsenal also have spent heavily in recent times because they have no PSR concerns and were rebuilding a young squad over multiple windows while balancing their books so they’re in a healthy position.

Manchester United on the other hand are in a completely different position.

We’ve got years of poor recruitment, expensive contract mistakes while also missing out on the Champions League revenue on several occasions which have tightened our finances.

Don’t forget we also have a huge debt INEOS are trying to reduce so it makes little sense to throw money away like we’ve done in the past without proper planning.

Yes, we’re Manchester United but you can’t compare our finances with both clubs you’ve mentioned.

The problem is that you're simply lying to yourself, and quite needlessly too.. For over a decade, Man utd has looked to skip a crucial process of a rebuild, which is adding quality and depth to the squad that allows you compete across the season on all fronts.. You want big names for big fees and big salaries.. What happens when they get injured or suspended? Back to square zero because there's no replacement, no quality, no depth.. United had just spent 85M pounds on Tielemans and Santos, an amount that would've given us just Fernandes. No Fernandes? Back to Ugarte.. Be realistic and stop trying to fool yourself. The time for Man utd to win will come again, but that would be IMPOSSIBLE without laying the adequate foundation, DEPTH AND STABILITY, something we've chosen to conveniently ignore because we're in a rush to 'compete'.. Stop trying to cheat the process.. Be realistic!
