🥳✝️Beloved, Today Jesus is calling us to stop living yourselves and start living for the One who have everything to us.
🙏🏽Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for dying so that I might live a new life in You. Teach me to live for You who first loved me. Amen❤️
✝️ Paul reminds us that the love of Christ is what drives everything we do. Jesus died for everyone not few/ some specific people, meaning we all have a clean sheet once we belong to Christ.
His death shows we are all equal in need for grace and His resurrection invites us all into a new life.
Our new life is in Jesus hence we can't just live anyhow and please ourselves. In this new life in Christ, He becomes the centre and it's Him we please with our daily living.
🙏🏾Prayer
Lord, I see the war within me my heart loves You, but my flesh resists You.
Help me to walk by Your Spirit, not by my own will.
Give me strength to overcome the power of sin and live in Your freedom.
Amen 🙏🏾
✝ Beloved,
Paul’s words reveal a truth we all experience: even when our hearts long to obey God, something inside us pulls in the opposite direction. We love God’s Word, yet the flesh fights against it.
Our good intentions and knowledge of God’s Word are not enough. Only the Spirit gives us strength to win this battle. The more we yield to Him, the more victory we experience.
He describes it as a war between the desire to do good and the power of sin that resists it. It’s not just weakness; it’s a real spiritual conflict. But this awareness is not meant to discourage us it’s meant to lead us to depend more deeply on Christ.
✝ Beloved,
Here Paul opens his heart wide and we see ourselves in his words. He knows the right thing, he even wants to do the right thing, but his actions betray his desire. This is the weakness of human nature , the gap between intention and action.
When we reach the point of saying, “I realize I don’t have what it takes,” that’s not defeat , it’s surrender. And in surrender, God’s Spirit begins to work what our willpower never could.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, I admit that my good intentions are not enough.
❓Have you ever made a promise to God never to go back to the same sin again, only to fall short again?
Paul reminds us that this struggle isn’t unique to us , it’s the very reason Jesus came.
Good intentions alone cannot overcome sin. Only grace can.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I confess my struggle. My desire is to please You, but I can’t do it alone. Fill me with Your Spirit and strengthen me to live in Your will. Amen.
📖 Day 1 – The Struggle Within
✝️God's given laws or commandments are good for they tell us what is wrong or right. Without the Law, we wouldn't have known if we're doing a wrong thing or a right thing hence the Laws of God are good.
This is not hypocrisy. it is humanity in need of grace. The law shows us the standard or law of God, but it cannot supply the strength to meet it.
💡 Faith Call: Admit your weakness before God. Confession is not defeat, it’s the doorway to dependence on His Spirit.
But it does not give us the strength to do it , the law diagnose sin but can't cure it.
✝ Beloved, this verse opens our hearts to the real battle inside us. We know what is right, yet we often find ourselves doing the very opposite.
✝ Beloved, our verse today reminds us of the importance of building our lives on a solid foundation , the Word of God.
❓How can we build our lives on the Rock?
By hearing and obeying God’s Word daily.
By establishing our hearts in faith, trusting God in every circumstance.
By standing firm during trials, knowing that God is our refuge.
Through constant prayer, meditation on His promises, and a life surrendered to His guidance.
There is a promise given to us that, if we remain steadfast and rooted in Him, no storm in life will overthrow us
3. By Abounding in thanksgiving.
4. Through prayers and daily quiet time
There is a promise given to us that, if we remain in Him and His word remains is us, we will receive whatever we wish.
🙏🏽Let's ask for help from the Holy Spirit in order to always remain connected to God.
Being a branch always connected to The Vine
✝️ Beloved, our verse today is admonishing us to stay connected to God, our true vine.
❓How can we stay always connected to God.
1. By being rooted and built up in His word.
2. Being established in faith.
