Shoaib, a 19-year-old from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, ran a salon in Lucknow. He created a fake Hindu profile under the name 'Saurabh Singh' on Instagram to befriend Hindu girls and lure them into his trap.

To impress girls on social media, he would create videos showcasing a luxurious lifestyle featuring expensive cars.

He would first befriend Hindu girls on social media, then stage a false romantic relationship to engage in physical intimacy.

His targets were minors and young girls. He would record photos and videos of them in compromising positions and use them for blackmail.

He even coerced girls into religious conversion by threatening to make their private videos and photos go viral.

This case came to light following a police complaint filed by a 15-year-old Hindu girl from Lucknow.

She stated that she had met a boy named 'Saurabh' on social media and entered into a relationship with him; however, when she discovered his true identity—that he was Shoaib, not Saurabh—she stopped communicating with him.

Subsequently, Shoaib blackmailed the minor using her compromising photos and videos and pressured her to convert her religion.

When the minor refused to comply, Shoaib uploaded her private photos and videos to social media.

Following this, the minor approached the Sairpur police station in Lucknow to file a complaint, revealing this shocking case.

It is worth noting that photos and videos of 13-14 young women in compromising positions were found on his phone, indicating that he had been blackmailing them as well.

The number of victimized young women could be even higher; this figure represents only those identified from the data found on his phone after his arrest.
