I worked at a sulfuric acid chemical plant for a college internship. The line workers pulled all night shifts filling rail cars with acid. Brutal work and hours. Risk of serious injury or death. This helped me in training since I knew medicine was tough but so are lots of jobs.
I will be completing a year of preliminary surgery @GeisingerSurgEd in Danville, PA before reapplying for Urology next year. Taylor and I have had our eye on Danville and we are so excited to start my career as a surgeon there! #match2022#rvumatch2022
This week has been rough. I unfortunately did not match into Urology. I wanted to say thank you to the many mentors and peers I’ve worked with. Many of you have reached out, shared inspiring words, and given me reason to keep trying. #UroMatch
@drewbrevik I am in the same boat. Working hard to make connections and build a stronger foundation my CV. If you need a friend please reach out! Hang in there man.
I had my first residency interview today. Everyone is posting pics of their “behind the scenes”… here is mine. These 3 make all of this possible. Love this beautiful family of mine.
Found out a male surgeon was negotiating for himself at a surgery center we work at & asked them to give me the same opportunity because he knew how much revenue I’d been bringing in. These are the amazing kind of #HeForShe moments that help keep women in medicine
Flight from PHL -> SLC. Going back to my family after 2 months away! Had a wonderful time learning Urology out on the east coast but I am looking forward to seeing my mountains again!
