At LandFund Partners, our farm managers aren't outside consultants or brokers. They're locals who grew up in the communities where we invest.
As our Director of Farm Operations, Billy Ussery, explains in this short video, our farm managers come from family farm backgrounds and have lifelong relationships with many farmers and landowners. They're on the farm most days, whether that's evaluating a new investment or meeting with a tenant, covering ground across the region.
Our roots run deep in the Mid-South, and that's exactly what gives LandFund Partners a strategic edge when it comes to identifying and improving farms on behalf of our investors.

Global Water Bankruptcy & Farmland Water Security
A recent United Nations report titled “Global Water Bankruptcy” describes the current status of water systems across the globe. In many countries, freshwater systems have been depleted to the point they cannot recover, and 6.1 billion people now live where water is insecure or critically insecure.
Water abundance is rare. 100% of LFP farmland sits above the Mississippi Alluvial Aquifer, one of the most tremendous aquifers in the Northern Hemisphere, replenished annually by the Mississippi River and its tributaries. Over 93% of our farmland is irrigated, providing water security to farmers and supporting long-term productivity as global water scarcity makes reliable, productive farmland increasingly essential to help feed the world.

Stan Kroenke just officially became the largest private landowner in the United States, amassing a staggering 2.7 million acres.
But he isn't an outlier, he's following a clear pattern. He joins the ranks of John Malone, Ted Turner, and Jeff Bezos, all of whom have quietly moved massive amounts of capital into American farmland and ranchland.
When the world's most successful investors are aggressively securing the same tangible asset class, it's a signal that can't be ignored. The ultra-wealthy aren't just buying land, they are prioritizing it as the ultimate store of value.
If your portfolio doesn't have a "ground game" yet, it might be time to explore LandFund Partners. 🌾

Warren Buffett's First Investment? Farmland.🌱
As Warren Buffett prepares to step down from his role at Berkshire Hathaway, many are reflecting on his legendary investment track record. But long before he became a household name, his very first investment at age 15 was in U.S. farmland.
Years later, he returned to the asset class—purchasing a 400-acre farm in Nebraska in 1986. In his own words: “I knew nothing about operating a farm... but I calculated the normalized return from the farm to then be about 10%. I also thought it was likely that productivity would improve over time and that crop prices would move higher. Both expectations proved out.”
At LandFund Partners, we’ve long shared Buffett’s view: farmland offers real value rooted in long-term fundamentals, not speculation. And it continues to play a critical role in portfolios today.🌾
