Spot-on Abdoul, PhD....Hon. Min. is always at the level of the Diplomatic Excellence and Coherence on the Global Stage that cannot be negotiated, an area that Rwanda excel in globally. Though the local journalism discord is important, the recent engagement was too off the stage!
@JosephRyarasa@KabagambeI Dr. Joseph rightly defends the need for journalism, but that journalism must meet the standard of our #FP. The public overwhelmingly siding with the Minister wasn't a sign of "silence" or fatigue, it’s a population demanding diplomatic excellence and coherence on the global stage

Rwanda is hosting the Board Meeting of the African Parliamentarians’ Network Against Corruption (APNAC).
Over the next two days, parliamentarians from across Africa will engage in discussions, share experiences, and exchange best practices on strengthening parliamentary efforts in the fight against corruption.
@UrugwiroVillage A wake-up call turned into a mission.🤝🏿
Pressure is not our weakness..,it is our awakening. Africa’s true power lies within its people, its resources, and its unity.
“These pressures, that we get from the rest of the world, Africa is being reminded to wake up. So the pressures are not entirely bad, they force Africa to look within for what we have. To actually do what we need to do to find a good place for us in this world of those injustices and other challenges.
I want people to know that each one of the people in this room and beyond, have something to contribute and to benefit from, benefit each other, and the continent has a lot that is not being put to good use and it is up to us - it is not people from anywhere else, to be able to raise ourselves to that level where we should be.” President Kagame | Opening Ceremony of the Africa CEO Forum 2026 #ACF2026
Thank u & congratulations Hon. Minister Nelly. U are a Rwandan model woman that excels in anything u touch. Your love and commitment for sports attracts the interest of many to sports, even to many of us who never understood anything in this field.👌🏾

Today, @landnetug joined the Domestic Violence Act Coalition, wearing black to mourn #RebeccaCheptegei and declare #NotAnotherWoman. As an organization that champions women’s land rights, their solidarity highlights the connection between #GBV and land insecurity that women face.
Think of today as a Choose Your Own Adventure book. Except instead of flipping pages, you're flipping your mindset to 'I can do this!' and 'I've got this!' Happy adventuring! #VibesMonday
Probably we should avoid to be diverted, from the current draft of NGOs. The issue of engaging deeply the concerned users of the law (NGOs), should have sufficient time to discuss at least the draft, and base input on self evaluation - the draft shouldn't be rushed!
Rwanda CS platform does not welcome the idea of the "Rwanda NGOs Forum/Council" that "Rwandan civil society is still young/weak". Yet, this is the eminent reason behind the framework that "INGO will strengthen the capacity of the locals". Hopefully this will be reconsidered!
At the Parliamentary Plenary, while introducing the bill, Minister Judith Uwizeye, appreciated the "Rwanda NGOs Forum/Council" as a good initiative. The framework has proven very successful in terms of transparency and inclusiveness @MichNkurunziza, @UrugwiroVillage,@IvanKayonga

Yesterday, on the 2nd of the NGOs draft law discussion in Social Affairs Parliamentary Committee, unfortunately, the assumption of the civil society that, merging of international & local NGOs would lead to the creation of "Rwanda NGOs Forum/Council", has been rejected.

One very interesting new consideration in the 2024 draft law is, that seems to support the efforts of localization initiative, is the combination of both international and local NGOs in one law. The assumption is that, this may lead also to one Forum - may be too early to tell!
