The series 3 project is finished! (Other than the canvas) and out in the sunshine.
Been a cheeky drive and one of the nicest series I've driven in a while, steering, brakes and engine responce really good.
I wish i could keep it π
Other than a valet and the fitment of some interior carpet and stereo system for the customer it was done, all nicely painted and carefully installed gearbox tunnel and floorplates etc then bugger! No low ratio on the replacement gearbox! Looks like a busy next few days π
Chassis and body reunited, steady process as we're addressing damage as we go.
The 200tdi has taken a big hit by the diff around the sump and bottom end and we're kinda on with that currently.
With the kids on hols and other complications, the series 2a accident damaged axel, now replaced and wil be fully refurbed as we go.
Hard to see how bent the old one was.
The 2a is all stripped down (well body off) and ready for repair, rebuild next week.
If you look closely you can see the crack that runs all around the gearbox from the accident.
