In a non-science tweet, the loss of RBG is really sad. She’s a pioneer for women’s rights and helped start paving the way for equality. That road for equality hasn’t been completed, but I know plenty of my students are capable of completing it. That I can’t wait to see.
19 years ago today, I was a 6th grader in New York. My mom had a meeting scheduled at the World Trade Center that day. Luckily, she didn't make it all the way into the city. Not everyone was so fortunate. Never forget @MrLast_Rocks
At this time 19 years ago, I was getting ready to go to bed. I would be waking up the next morning to go into my 6th grade classroom for what was going to be an ordinary day... at least I thought it would be. Little did 10 year old me know that it wouldn’t be ordinary.
Just took the @USLacrosse Cultural Competency course. Reaffirmed a lot of important values and provided some great information and resources to bring into my teaching and coaching. #keeplistening#keeplearning
Let’s not be silent in the face of racial hatred. Our children are watching. They need our guidance, support and leadership. They need to know that we see them and hear them.
