We are disciplined. We are frugal. We seek value. We take advantage of tuition reimbursement programs. We buy in bulk. We buy generic products. We don’t eat out. We make our food at home. We moderate our drinking and smoking. We shop around for the best price. We only buy things we need. We use coupons and take advantage of deals. We live with our relatives.

Spending less takes discipline, a plan, and commitment. A penny saved is a penny earned. Every dollar we don’t spend at the convenience store or at the bar is a dollar we can use to invest. Some ways to avoid debt include getting an academic or athletic scholarship, writing grants, getting our family to invest in our education to avoid debt, educating ourselves instead of paying a college to teach us, avoiding a materialistic and consumer driven lifestyle. If we can avoid debt, we can invest more instead of paying high interest on loans. If our employer offers free education programs, we take full advantage. This education will lead to more skill, more ability, and more money in our job. Most people don't want to spend less. If we want to get where most people aren't, we must do things most people don't do.

We wear the same shoes until they rot. We drive the same car until it dies, and we buy value cars that are three years old. We don't buy clothes. We don't eat out. We buy in bulk. We invest every single dollar in assets I don't have to sell for three to five years. We don't need a fancy place. Whatever we can get for the cheapest with what we need. Free is best. We spend our time increasing my earning ability. We get better at our job. We learn new skills. We build a plan for a promotion on increased wages. We eat clean. We get enough sleep to perform well and avoid sickness. We work on side projects for two hours every day after we get out of work. We grind on our side hustle. We fail cheaply. We start small. We don't do things with a lot of money that don't work. Every failure is a step towards success. If we work like this for three to five years, we will do well.

We spend less money. We buy in bulk, and find value. We don't fall victim to consumerism. We focus our economic energy on only things that are necessary. We live minimalistically. We know things don’t make us happy. We make a game out of minimizing our expenses. We don't buy things we kind of want, so one day we can buy things we really want.
