In Benin, a new approach is being taken to involve traditional kings and chiefs in supporting the eradication of female genital mutilation (FGM). After a visit to the royal courts, support was obtained from 10 kings and chiefs in the mission to eradicate FGM in their communities.
Today is International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). We partner with local communities to increase education, support young girls & survivors & enhance engagement towards ending this harmful cultural practice: https://t.co/qMZrv16EzL
