@ambarnes8 Oh never mind. My only other guess would be because the moon's orbit slightly tilted compared to earth's flat orbit.

A4: We don't see lunar eclipses every month because the position of the moon's orbit is not the same as earth's orbit around the sun, making it too inconsistent to have recurring lunar eclipses #loveastro #GoWithTheFLO #lunareclipse2022 #nowgobacktobed🛌

Q4: Last Question! Why don’t we see lunar eclipses every month? #loveastro #GoWithTheFLO #lunareclipse2022 #nowgobacktobed 🛌

[Landryspoorguitar @Landryspoor_]

@ambarnes8 The moon's orbit around the earth is much faster than the earth's orbit around the sun. They're not relative to each other.

[Landryspoorguitar @Landryspoor_]

A:3 The moon is completley covered in the earth's shadow and has a reddish glow to it #loveastro #GoWithTheFLO #lunareclipse2022

[angela barnes @ambarnes8]

Q3: Step outside and look at the Moon. Describe what you see and include a pic! #loveastro #GoWithTheFLO #lunareclipse2022

[Landryspoorguitar @Landryspoor_]

A2: You're most likely going to see the earth but surrounded by the glow of the sun since a lunar eclipse is the earth casting its shadow over the moon #loveastro #GoWithTheFLO #lunareclipse2022

[angela barnes @ambarnes8]

Q2: You’re standing on the moon during this eclipse looking out at Earth. What do you see? #loveastro #GoWithTheFLO #lunareclipse2022

A1: Good morning. I'm Landry from Astronomy 3rd period #loveastro #GoWithTheFLO #lunareclipse2022

@ambarnes8 @Taybramson @omr9809 🌚🌚🌚. I learned about how Artemis 2 was the further human had been into space at the time #loveastro #inOMN22

@ambarnes8 @Taybramson @omr9809 🌚🌚🌚. I learned about how Artemis 2 was the furthest humans went into space at the time.

@ambarnes8 I would take a trip to the moon because I can go to Europe anytime I want. Going to the moon would be once in a lifetime #loveastro #inOMN22

[Landryspoorguitar @Landryspoor_]

@ambarnes8 My favorite phase is the new moon because it's interesting to see that the moon can blend in with the sky so well when there's no light on it #loveastro #inOMN22

[Landryspoorguitar @Landryspoor_]

@ambarnes8 I would be willing if I got the proper training because it would be really cool to see and walk on the surface of the moon. I would go on the Artemis 2 mission because it was the first mission where humans went beyond the moon and into deeper space. #loveastro #inOMN22

[Landryspoorguitar @Landryspoor_]

@ambarnes8 My favorite song about the moon is Cancer by One Hundred Thousand as it talks about how the moonlight makes them feel safe and secure #loveastro #inOMN22

[Landryspoorguitar @Landryspoor_]

@ambarnes8 I'm Landry in astronomy honors 3rd period with Ms. Barnes and I'm here to enjoy the moon and get credit for this FLO #loveastro #inOMN22
