@RegLock53@sol_emberguard@CrossOutBryce@tynamiteyt I feel like he was misunderstanding forward vs. backwards in this context. It can seem counterintuitive. Here: picture yourself and another guy on a football field. Pull the guy (the release date) forward, and he's closer to you. Push him back, and he's further away.
@PixelCNinja A great second entry for the Gundam vs. series, which continues to this day. Also available for the GameCube in Japan only. Naturally, Gundam fans will be the ones who will get the most out of it.
@RichardC74991@VideogameBeach Worth checking out if you're a Gundam fan. Despite being a Japan-only release, it's very accessible, as all of the menus and in-game dialogue are in English.
@JakeLandauTO@zeonicscans Precisely. I'd say the one entry that benefits from being included is Blue Destiny, as the Saturn games were the first leap into mobile suit combat with 3D environments and full freedom of movement. For the other side story entries, best stick to the original releases.
@JakeLandauTO@zeonicscans They're not "ports" so much as adaptations of previous side story game storylines in a unified action game engine. You'd be missing out on a lot of content and mechanics unique to each of those original titles. It's a fun game, but I wouldn't consider it a replacement.
@Cumgyattler_V What gets me is that the Zulu has a look that suggests it has lower performance than the Doga but is perhaps easier to produce and maintain, but this is not the case. You'd think the Sleeves would be running on fumes after Zeon's long string of defeats.
@ChoujinVirus@mechatwtconfess Particularly where there's a desire now to bring SRW to markets outside of Japan, which makes the licensing even more of a headache.
@JosephH32149678@Greyhoundsniper Similar look, but doesn't appear to be based on the Metal Build mold. This makes sense as we currently only have a Metal Build 1.5 Gundam, and Metal Build figures are 1/100 scale rather than 1/144.
@Cacophanus While definitely lacking in content, it had some great art direction and atmosphere, and controlled just fine in my opinion. Not a "great" game perhaps, but I'd hardly call it terrible. I'd love to see FromSoft revisit a fantasy mecha setting.
@animathias It's a massive improvement. At minimum, I recommend playing the stock game on a Game Boy Color just so the sprites and backgrounds can be distinctly colored.
@predaconspittor@SYACVG It's true that you couldn't die in WL2, but getting hit could still set you back in some tricky rooms on top of losing some precious coins. Very frustrating if it happened repeatedly.
