Hollywood's first live-action Popeye movie was an unusual gamble. Robin Williams, still best known for television's Mork & Mindy, was given his first starring movie role, while Shelley Duvall seemed almost born to play Olive Oyl. She had already worked extensively with director Robert Altman, appearing in seven of his films.

The production created an entire seaside village on the Mediterranean island of Malta. Rather than dismantling it afterward, the elaborate Sweethaven set survived and eventually became a tourist attraction.

The movie developed a reputation as a notorious Hollywood flop, but that reputation isn't entirely deserved. Its production was difficult and critics were divided, yet it earned enough money to turn a substantial profit.

Williams performed Popeye's famous muttering largely under his breath, making some dialogue so difficult to understand that portions reportedly had to be re-recorded.

Popeye was already a cultural giant. In a 1935 poll of American schoolchildren, Popeye ranked as their favorite cartoon character, ahead of Mickey Mouse.

You guys have no idea how many of these exact clips I've seen.

It's just a regular occurence for DSP. He does this every stream, multiple times a stream. The Intensity here is high but the regularity unchanged.

If anyone has difficulty with editing shorts, I would suggest making templates and building a library of memes/sounds up.

Editing can be complex, but it doesn't have to be. If you don't have the muns for an editor, there's no shame in doing simple edits to preserve your energy!
