Ben Krohn caps off a stellar Junior golf season tied for 7th at the 1A State Tournament, tied for the highest individual finish in school history with Brett Klusman in 2021! No time to celebrate though, he hopped in the car and is headed back to Council Bluffs for tonight’s 7pm soccer postseason opener against Grandview Christian!
@GolfCoachNorth I remember when I played it at state in 2021 I took it at the bridge. Instead went down in the creek, and then a second later bounced back up into the right fairway. Made par from there. Apparently it bounced off all the concrete down in the creek.
Ben Krohn birdied his last hole of Day-1, to card a 79 on the day, which puts him tied for 19th. Ben is well within the Hunt heading into Day-2, as 2nd through 19th is a logjam of 26 golfers, separated by 9 shots of one another.

Everytime this university is on the verge of achieving something monumental for itself, something incredible dumb out of our control happens.
You wanna love this place so much, but when you get nothing but failure everytime because of other circumstances, it’s makes it so hard.

Not having Joshua Jefferson for this shot at a tournament run for Iowa State is just unfair. They just don't have the weapons or shot creation offensively without him.
Excited for Cyclone Nation that TJ is not going anywhere - he will be our basketball coach for a long time! Now let's have an exciting and successful time this weekend in Chicago. #RoadtotheFinalFour
@CBKReport Council Bluffs Iowa boy refs nearly every ISU game and every ISU win. They can’t win without him. Look back at the season stats. If you are betting for or against ISU, this guy is the key. Is the NCAA engaged in racketeering?
