Neale Daniher, a campaigner in the fight against motor neurone disease and a former champion Essendon footballer, is the 2025 Australian of the Year, @michellegrattan@UniCanberra https://t.co/Jel8SuxnKH
Taking a moment this morning to reflect on our campaign achievements from the last few months of 2024:
👉We opened 2 x Campaign Hubs
👉Registered 170 x Volunteers
👉I attended over 86 events in person with community
👉We door knocked over 1500 houses
👉We letterboxed more houses!
👉We did a full electorate mailout of 80,000 calendars
👉We shot & released a Campaign Video
👉We held 2 x campaign launches
👉I had 1000s of meaningful conversations with the community that will help shape my policies for Monash
👉My team and I stopped on the road and saved a Koala from getting run over :)
In 2025, our campaign will get much bigger, exciting things to come. It's time for positive change. "If not now, when? If not us, who?" Happy New Year everyone.
When I spoke to the Sydney Institute I set out my program for economic and tax reform.
When the Manager of Opposition Business Mr Fletcher spoke, he explained why voters were stupid for electing community independents.
@cathywilcox1 gets it.
These three new coal mines wouldn’t have been approved if the government had a duty of care to young people and future generations. If you believe this is a responsibility governments should have, show your support via the link below 👇

🙌🌱 Climate focused Independents are our way out of the climate crisis.
Independents do politics differently. Unburdened by partisan divides, and free to champion innovative solutions, Indies can drive the meaningful and effective climate action that communities want and need.
APH belongs to the people, not major party donors.
The people’s house isn’t a venue for political fundraising.
I was shocked to learn that the Liberals were selling access in APH this week.
We must legislate serious reforms to political donations.
