Day 5: kayaking on the centre’s lake- a lovely opportunity to develop as well rounded, confident young people. We are super proud of the way they’ve worked with the centre staff this week, as well as other members of the public - and indeed each other!
Day 4: exploring cultural tensions in Londonderry, students taking advantage of the freedom to design their own investigation questions, qualitative fieldwork- followed up by extensive discussion and debate in the evening
Day 3: sand dune succession fieldwork at Bushfoot - trampling, exploring, struggling through the landscape to see if it fits the model of ph, soil depth, vegetation cover. Then back to the centre to do Mann-Witney U tests.

Day 3: visiting the Giants Causeway this afternoon, creating plenty of time to connect with the landscape, creating memories and pondering the way physical geography drives both cultural stories and scientific thinking
